Question: Name someone who got robbed by an obviously bad call that could easily be reversed but, due to colossal stupidity, will not be.

As Nina, the 10-year-old singer with back-up dancers, was finishing her routine, I turned to my wife and said, "She could win it all." And I believe that she could. She's not only talented, she's polished, she's confident, and she has an entourage.

As I recall, the name of the show is "America's Got Talent." The definition of "talent" was evidently loosened twice in this show, once for the shriveled-up Patsy Cline wannabe and once for the bad magician, but yet, despite having all this room for crap acts, they decide that a brilliant singer is "not ready." What a damn joke. Kudos to Howie for recognizing an awesome talent. Piers and Sharon are dopes.

Answer: Bad karma carried over from Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne.

Question: Why did Robert Green fumble that soft goal in England's World Cup match against the Stars and Stripes?

Good one! And well deserved, I say!!

I have seen over the course of time that Sharon has been there, she has a real affinity for 'child' singers. She even said once, to another amazing young girl, that she really does NOT like seeing the little ones go on to get into such a wicked business. It eats them up, spits them out, and treats them so horridly that she doesn't want any part of it. Now, that is THE only reason I can think of that she would do that to little Nina. THAT little girl, and her back-ups had it all! I totally agree, Colonel! She could have taken it all home and more.

But we have had, on the very first show, a young lady who was an amazing singer, and where is she now? I just remember her name was Bianca, but haven't heard a thing about her since. What her experiences were, I don't know. But she obviously is not making top 10 albums at this point in time.

I don't understand the thinking of Piers or Sharon on this one, either. Except that they were hoping to save her grief along the way, BUT they put through a 12 year old boy later on. So, my theory may not hold a lot of water. Is it just the little girls? Did they feel she was too confident and would get shot down? Girl's voiced do not change the way boy's do...so, your guess is as good as mine. But I gave it a shot...

The dance group - from FL - who had no formal training - practiced outside - no dance studio, etc.
They were praised for being "unpolished" and "rough" (maybe not the exact words, but...)
Yet, in the past acts have been rejected because they were "unpolished" and "rough".

That's what I call the "American Idol Logic."

You watch AI, and see an act chastised because they simply sang the song as it was written, and didn't add anything to it. Then, the next act changes the arrangement, and is chastised for changing the song.

Or, the contestant who is told that they need to sing songs in their genre so that everyone knows "who they are as musicians." Then, the following week, the contestant is chastised for not stepping out of their comfort zone, and always singing the same type of song.
