Loved it! Thoughts.... Nice to see Jack's softer side again. New CTU boss is evil. Chloe is much more likeable. Baddies are not just bad, they are sinister. Like that.

So far, I'm loving it! My thoughts..1. The new CTU boss is a piece of work. I hate her. 2. I miss Tony and Michelle. 3. I do not miss Kim. 4. I actually liked Chloe last night. 5. It will be interesting to see if Behrooz has the stomache for killing, or if he ends up helping Jack.

Ok, I love this show but it has to get rid of the stupid side plots..Do we really need another conniving woman at CTU--Curtis' fling Maryann is the same character as in Season 3-the woman that hated Michelle....ugh Why does Erin Driscoll have to have a daughter at all...maybe if this was an OC-like show, but in 24 who cares.. I do like Edgar Stiles though, he is a new and fresh character...I love how he answers his phone... Chloe, I haven't decided yet, but Jack has to have an in at CTU and she was the only one that they wanted to bring back..the others had played out their stories..so for now, I'll tolerate her. I love the fact that they killed Debbie and she did not get away...she would have been Kim all over again...and the mother is the new Sherry Palmer EVIL I love it...as soon as she said "I'll make tea" I knew Debbie was a goner...what Baruz (sp?) does I think will be key...I like him too I love William Devane...I loved watching him on Knots Landing too!! Watcing him shooting an automatic weapon was funny though... oh and his daughter...I hate her...she's way too wimpy for Jack to be in love with!!! Handcrafted by RollDdice

Chloe- I like her this season. How long will she sit a holding cell though?Edgar- has to be a quirky tech person every year. We had Sara Gilbert, then Chloe last year, now we have Edgar. Curtis and Maryann- too much like the president's brother and his affair from last season. Sec. Heller- his escape attempt was cool. Don't like Audrey so much. Erin Driscoll- bound to get her come-uppance. They added to daughter storyline to give her character some sympathy. Jack is kick azz. But couldn't he think of any other way to delay Kalil? I mean c'mon. Couldn't he let the air out of his tires or something? But no he has to rob the gas station. Well based on the previews he talks his way out of that one real quick. I'm expecting Tony to be back and very, very bitter.

1. I'm still trying to digest four hours - that's a very nice dosage and I HOPE they decide to go this route again next season - the timing after the first of the year is good with FB winding down and it's nice to really get into it quickly. Now, hopefully I can adapt to the one hour a week. 2. I am definitely liking this season story line more than last year at this point - the addiction thing was very messy and seemed inconsistent (though I missed 5-6 hours in the middle while I was gone - I'm tempted to go after that DVD that's available. 3. Behrooz - I guess he's been corrupted by living in American culture - seems like an interesting story line. In this case maybe that "corruption" is good. I'd like to discuss this some other time - the effect of American culture and assimilation - good or bad? BTW - now he's going to have to get rid of the body in the next hour or two. Does he end up turning on mom and dad down the road? 4. Chloe - nice to see a familiar face and she's a little more in tune this year, though she can still be very annoying. 5. Erin - must one be an a-hole to lead CTU? It seems to be a requirement (other than Jack, of course). I suppose the tension it creates feeds the show. Daughter thingy - I sure hope it ties in somewhere down the road. Otherwise it's just filling time. I don't want to have dangling participles this season (btw - what is a participle?). 6. Curtis - I'm trying to warm up to him, but this affair thing coming into the middle of the crisis and the tension is to much been there/done that. 7. Edgar - nice to see a "regular" person get a few minutes on the show. I like his klutzyness and nervousness. OTH - how did he get this job? 8. With the Heller thing getting resolved next week or the week after (it seems) there's a long way to go and many more issues to solve for the next 19 hours - I'm surprised they're getting this one done so quickly, though I'm glad to see it keep moving ahead. 9. Jack is Jack - though it was nice to see him calm and at ease for an hour or so (saw Kiefer on Letterman a couple of weeks ago and he seems to want to see the show keep going and going - he loves it). 10. The robbery - far be it from me to not criticize gratuitous writing and events. Yet, I can see why he chose this method. Chloe is having trouble with the satellite - there's no guarantee that it's gonna happen imminently. So, a flat tire might delay long enough, but what if.... Plus, does it make our mark more suspicious and less likely to follow through with going back to the warehouse? I'd say yes since he was suspicious of being followed and this would really raise his suspicions even more. Plus, with the robbery, Jack has the option of stretching it out longer to accomodate Chloe (as he attempted). Any competent person can change a flat in 10 minutes adn then he's back on the road again quickly - he is in an hurry. Finally, would you rather watch him change a flat or Jack pretending to hold the place up so he gets a chance to yell at people and order them around? I'm surprised he didn't shot anyone in the leg. 11. Tony should be showing up between 1 and 2 p.m. Why? What's the angle and how do he and Jack end up working together. 12. NO KIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 13. Could we get a gratitous look at Sherry Palmer at some point? 2002 IceCat Originals, Inc. All rights reserved.

It's just so over the top and is causing Jack more problems that could jepardize his mission. Like I said, it's typical 24 style but is that all the writers could come up with?

So, is Chloe gone for good? Just like that? If so, it sucks big time.Wonder how Erin's daughter will go psycho and provide the personal drama interlude at CTU. Remember last year how Michelle's brother burst into CTU, caused a little hoopla, then was escorted away, never to be heard from again. Shazayam! Terrorist martyrs himself. Splat! Will Jack rescue damsel in distress? Behrooz! Meet the P's. Run dude, you're dead meat.

Have to disagree with you about Jack's wife. I thought she kicked major åss most of the time, except when she thought Kim was dead, fainted, and woke up with amnesia. But I blame the writers for that. Her character overall was a strong one.
