"Where did all the steps go?"
What happen when the girls would work towards their goals and be rewarded? All I see this year is them sitting around gossipying and eating. This saddens me as I was such a fan of the show because I used the tools they were learnings towards my growth. Now all I see is everything "I don't want in my life". I use to say the daily groups were like my daily therapy sessions... I use to learn something everyday! Please bring back the Old starting over or at least girls that really want to grow!

1. "RE: Where did all the steps go?"
Precious, I completely agree with you. Now, not only do we not see their steps one at a time, it's more like, "We are now going to reveal that you completed steps one AND two!" OR, we only see one "steps completed session" and suddenly, "You will be graduating from the SOH" With the exception, of course, of Jill's trial fiasco. I wish they would go back to having more measureable steps, too. "Being gainfully employed" is a lot more measureable than "Fill the Empty Cup." or "Stand in my Grace" (What if you dump the cup or Fall down after graduation? Do they take your trophy away and force you to reappear? (we could name names) The steps themselves are a good idea, with goals that are made up by the HG's and not the LC's and have some measureable goal. That's when I was learning. I am not learning anymore. Now? It's just another reality TV show.

Isn't it sad? I agree. I use to get so much from this show. At times I still do, but it isn't from their steps anymore. I miss the board of review, the structure and the paths they were working on. The true feeling of women helping women and the support. I'm sad to say, it's becoming just like the Real World show. That show, when it started, was actually more like a documentary of how young people from different races, religions and sexual preferences experienced and lived with each other - how they learned and grew from the experience. Now, it's just a drunken hook-up on TV. I can't even watch anymore.
Gosh, I sure hope this show doesn't go that way. If all these women are going to do is sit around and talk behind each other's backs, gossip and have drama, I'll just watch Days of Our Lives, where I know it's not real in any way and don't care so much for these women.
Please, don't ruin this show! Bring back the structure!

I don't want to critiizie the HG because I give them credit for coming onto a show and baring it all to the world to see. I don't want to be critical of the LC because who knows what "TV" is making them do to keep the show more "excitng". hOWever, I do feel that the LC, the producers and whoever else is involved should stand up for what they believe and continue on with their beliefs in helping "Women" become stronger and more independent. Bringing back old HG "may" just be happening becaue the status of the show is unknown and bringing new HG will may only lead them hanging.

I believe if they continue on the path they started at the beginning the word will follow and so will their fans.

I am sadden by how we were being taught to be true and I am not sure if "they (the people behind the scenes) are just there for to kick up the drama for the continue TV success of the show.

I think it is morphing towards Starting over meets big brother. The camera crew gets all the good stuff and we see it on the episodes, the rest they don't want to waste their time with such as helping these woman really make a change in their life, working towards their steps and goals, and getting them ready to go back out into the real world.

Afer all we now have errand angel running around, Ms garmet fitting room attendant, oh and the ever so Allisham, and soon to be Kelly's Kitchen.

Oh well, guess all it is now is entertainment tv.

I don't believe the camera crew is in control of what we see. It may be the producers trying to gather up more drama for ratings???
