docbob 9 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "American Cancer Society Spokesperson" 02-03-06, 03:06 PM (EST) "Is it just me?????" Or is alcohol a problem for many of the ladies on this show. Seems like they always have a glass of wine or a "cocktail" in their glass whenever they are drinking something in the house. I know Christie has an admitted problem and then there was the one from last year (Karen?) who got hauled off to detox and of course Allison, whose drinking problem was never really dealt with, but it kind of really surprises me that they even allow alcohol in the house since so many of the participants seem to inappropriately rely on it. And, no, I'm not a recovering alcoholic, but it just seems like the ladies imbibe more than most people I know.   Top

Unfortunately, alcohol (or the ability to maintain control over it) is a problem for a huge number of people. I think the problems here are representative, maybe even understated.   Top

I think some of the women may have problems with it. I know "drinking everyday" and "drinking to relax" are two signs of having a drinking problem. However, a glass of wine with dinner is often recommended as being good for something (I don't remember what, but it is health-oriented). How about Jill's mom? She sure chugged her wine!   Top
