jacal5 10 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Got Milk? Spokesperson" 12-22-05, 03:14 AM (EST) "Ungrateful Bethany is a Loser" LAST EDITED ON 12-22-05 AT 03:20 AM (EST) LAST EDITED ON 12-22-05 AT 03:17 AM (EST) Before I watched the boring finale, I wanted Bethany to win over Dawna, but I cannot believe how Bethany treated her team so shabbily and with disrespect. She did not even thank them for their efforts on the task, and then when Martha comments that other team members on past tasks have said Bethany is hard to work with, she goes into a tirade about having disgruntled teammates to manage on the last task while she is live on stage with them. Bethany then goes on to say that she pulled together the disgruntled team trying to give everyone the impression that the circus was successful due to her efforts alone. Bethany is a terrible people person and used bad judgement dissing her teammates. She is the one who hand picked each one of them for her team, so the fault lies with Bethany for choosing the wrong people to support her on the project. Bethany's behavior reminded me of how Tayna treated her team in last year's Trump apprentice. I really liked Tayna up until the time she started acting like she did. Of course as my husband says, "the only thing real about reality TV is that it is on TV." I wonder sometimes if the participants are "made" to act or behave a certain way. "RE: Ungrateful Bethany is a Loser - I agree" Although i do not condone Bethanny's actions, Tana was by far worse than Bethanny. Up until the live boardroom Bethanny did not say a thing about her team. Tana on the otehr had was saying wise cracks about her team throughout the final task....and the way she tried her team in the end was even worse. Bethanny just took on more responsibility and slammed them on the finale. Tana was not smart enough to know that every thing she did was recorded and played to her team and the boss. Bethanny only brought it up as a defense for her prjoect management. I think Bethanny concealed her comments. Remember the show when Tana made an ignorant comment about not being used to all these black people, or something to that effect during the task. I don't know how she expected to work in the major cities like New York where Trump has businesses making racist comments. Maybe your suspicions are correct about Tana not really wanting the job. The show I enjoyed the most is when Martha fired Amanda for trying to screw Marcela by not selling any coffee makers after Marcela's idea about having gourmet food really drew many customers into the bakery. Most of these contestants don't realize that if they make the project manager look good, then they look good. When I was in the business world a very wise black woman who worked with me told me that my job was to make my boss look good, and then I would shine. When I made that my goal with a new boss, everything good came to me, he gave me several awards, and he even recommended me for a promotion before he retired, which I received. "RE: Ungrateful Bethany is a Loser" I agree with you about the gratitude part, but I sort of disagree about the choice part. Who could she have chosen? Other than Jim, who recognized her problem, she really didn't have any peeps she could call on as friends. And, in spite of their animosity, she got them to work together pretty well. Jim, to his credit (I can't believe I'm saying this) actually pulled through, recognized her issue, and helped get the others behind her. Now, why she had no friends may be up for debate. Unfortunately, it's a debate I really can't take part in. I watched the whole debacle as it unfolded, but, quite frankly it was bad enough that I have managed to block out almost all previous episodes. I don't know if it was due to jealousy, or if it was due to really bad interpersonal relationships on the part of Bethany. "RE: Ungrateful Bethany is a Loser" Bethenny (!) appeared cold and aloof from the beginning. This may have just been her way of trying to hide her insecurity and shyness. She had an abrupt manner with her teammates, and gave the impression she didn't care about them. She has a lot to learn about management style, and if she's smart, she will. I was shocked, too, at her behavior toward her teammates at the end. That was just asking to be sabotaged. Again though, you're right, and we don't know what really went on among them; it was so obviously heavily edited. "RE: Ungrateful Bethany is a Loser" I disagree that there was no one better for Bethanny. Sure there were many people Bethanny could've chosen who would of busted their butts for her. She could've taken the first people that went home. They had a lot to prove....I am sure they were embarrassed to go home so early. How about Jeff, Chuck or Shawna. Even David. To pick Kristy (?) was terrible and Ryan you could tell didn't want to be there at that point. Her best choice would've been Jim and two of the others I mentioned.
