"A kinder/gentler Gordon this season, anyone??"
Does anyone else think that having Joseph, right at the first, in Gordon's face, may have set the stage for Gordon to have calmed things down just a tad?

I noticed, in the last few episodes, he was less tough, less scratchy on the cheftestants than he had been in the other seasons.

I also think Tenille getting back in his face made him realize that these really ARE people, and he needs to take a step back and realize just how he's treating them.

What do you think?? Also, the fact that he had three major accidents, along with Robert's second or third heart attack-could that have made a difference??

BTW: I think Robert is a self-absorbed PIG! And it totally came out last night!! I don't even CARE if he loses that weight now, or if he blows up like a whale-he deserves what he gets, IMHO...sorry.

I think Gordon has mixed up the mean/kind treatment pretty effectively this season. He appeared much more considerate, especially when kicking people to the curb, so maybe the trauma counseling budget was cut.

Embiggened Bobert really showed himself to be an uncaring selfish pig. Dropping and breaking things and sabotaging Dave in the final service. Time for him to disappear into the same void with loudmouth Tennile.

I think Chef Gordon just wanted to have some fun. I read that it's not really in his nature to be a loudmouth bastard; he puts on that person because, as he once said, American TV audiences want to see a mean Brit. That and it fits in the theme of the show - it's not Purgatory's Kitchen, you know.

Besides, it's more fun to see a few more fun bits thrown in rather than always thinking he's going to tear someone's head off.
