Jen admits she has a lot more experience than anyone supposed. She didn't lie, she just doesn't like to talk about herself.
Today they'll be working with live lobster. Bonnie says she cries every time she kills a lobster, Julia says she doesn't think she's ever eaten lobster.
Chef reminds Josh that he can't tell the difference between a lobster and a scallop. He has to sit out the challenge. He can advise his team but he cannot, under any circumstances, touch a lobster.

Bonnie vs. Melissa. Bonnie has grilled lobster salad with baked apples. He likes it. Melissa has poached lobster in a citrus salad. He likes the freshness of the citrus, but the lobster isn't cooked properly.
Julia has a lobster risotto. He likes it and he says he's never had a spicy lobster like that but the risotto is boring. Rock has lobster tempura with asparagus. He likes it.
Jen made a nice lobster bisque. Brad also made a lobster bisque. Tied, it comes down to bisque vs. bisque. And we'll find out who wins when we get back from commercial.

Completely predictable. If it was really a tie in his mind, and he had the three big extenuating factors, it's a no-brainer for him and the show
A. The three women are a lot better "prettied up" than the men
B. He can pin half the loss on Melissa, making possible new team drama
C. He can see who gets pissed off and ##### them off even more
That, with a prior history of quickfire results that don't match what the kitchens seem to produce, meant an easy prediction. Remember last season, the Red Team won pretty much every quickfire (heavily female), even after Heather got moved to the Blue team. This year is very similar.
In any challenge where it's even close, he happens to choose the women's team. I'm not going to say if it's coincidence or not, but it seems to be true

DH actually called the win for them when he noticed that the lobster being thrown back into the tank (saved) right before commercial break was red. (Which also means it was cooked & therefore quite dead.)

The men gets to look for everything possible to be recycled. They have to go through every garbage bin in the kitchen. Rock's pissed and Brad gets points for taking it like a man.

I don't think that's what he was saying, actually. I think he was pissed because the Blue Team's dishes were more original than the Red Team's, and that was why he was pissed. I could be wrong though.

Yeah, taste should always be the major factor, but when he seemed to love the taste of BOTH dishes, I (and Rock) think originality should've been the tie breaker. I think that was one of the listed requirements for the challenge.

Melissa also can't tell that she's overcooked the Monkfish and she only has 1 left. She's thrown off the fish and sent to do garnish while Rock takes over for her.
Julia is showing attitude. Both to Chef and to the team. They have only 2 tables left but those 2 are proving difficult. Meanwhile, Blue Team has an entire 6-top returned and they're out of potatoes.

Blue Team loses. Duh. Two sous chefs, a line chef, and an executive chef is beaten by a fry cook, a nanny, and a pastry chef (albeit one that's cooked with Morimoto).
They have to reach consensus about the nominees.
Brad says that if it's based on one night it's him & Melissa. If it's overall it's Melissa and Josh. They decide to go overall.
Chef doesn't even ask for their decision. He simply throws Melissa out. Then he tells them he's not done yet and calls Brad and Josh out of line.
Looks like last week's NE will be followed by this week's DE.
Bystander better remember he has this summary. Don't want to miss 2 weeks in a row.
