I absolutely adore Vickie and her family. Everyone is AUTHENTIC, SPONTANEOUS, GENUINELY LOVING, AND ALIVE!!!!!! Vickie is so loving that instead of telling the (white) Pop to just stop smothering his family by excruciatingly controlling every iota of their existence, that she went so far as to generously offer him an opportunity to discover for himself why he's doing it (feeling if he leaves someone, or they leave him that they will die, and he'll be left all alone. He has this mistaken belief becuase his brother died in California while Pop was in Thailand). You are so spiritually generous, Vickie! The "bluegrass" family was almost dead under the stifling control of the insecure Pop. Their faces were void of expression, and all the wife could do is cry the tears of the oppressed. YOU GAVE THEM LIFE, VICKIE! I wish to God I had had a Mother like you! Your husband and children are so loveable. Seeing you and your family, Vickie, warmed my heart. I had no idea such genuinely loving families existed! If I wasn't 51 years old, I'd ask you to adopt me!
