PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

Again, I went into it with my usual mantra: "They're both idiots." I'm all for discipline, but the Ohio family was over-the-top, and I'm a little surprised the kids didn't take to calling the parents "Warden."Terry made virtually no effort to relate to his stepkids, instead just coming in like an unwanted new regime and taking over. Having well-behaved kids who want to do chores and stay in shape is all well and good. Having well-behaved kids who are motivated by fear and overcome with resentment doesn't work. Seeing them actually lighten Terry's spirits was the biggest victory for this family. The other family...wow. Yes, Patrick needed an eye-opener. I thought he would never change. He reminded me, at first, of Judd from Survivor: Guatemala, with his butchering of the English language, his belligerence, and his standoffish behavior and stubborn refusal to change. If he had made a reference to scumbags or ADD, I wouldn't know what show I Was watching. Especially after the last show, where neither family was as bad as the Missouri family, but neither one changed all that much, I wasn't expecting a happy ending, and I certainly wasn't expecting Patrick to do a complete 180. What I don't get is this - why is it that, even after both Patrick and Terry turned themselves around, there appeared to be a lot of tension and bull-headedness at the table meeting? I wonder if that's just drummed up for effect...
