I totally (heart) Haley after her last performance. She has been through the wringer and I'm glad she finally had a great, fun performance. My opinion of her has done a total 360! And I'm glad that Lulu taught Haley how to work the camera to her advantage.

I think it's a shame that Haley dresses like a tart each week in a desperate attempt to get votes when she should really be working as hard on her vocals.
I think that's what the judges were tying to get across when they didn't say much about her singing and just said "you look great" as usual. As a woman, I think that would be insulting. I almost felt bad for her. Maybe she would tone down her look if she had more confidence in her singing ability. I think she is OK, but not any better than I could see at my local high school cabaret.

Lisa, you livin' inside my head or something? Your thoughts are mine exactly. Haley's vocal ability is strictly HS follies. Except, she would've been sent home to change clothes first. I suspect, as you do, that the breast exposure is "compensation" for lack of vocal ability. I don't see Melinda exposing hers.

I think many of the contestants realize that singing is not necessarily the only way they are being judged. Some of them, Haley comes to mind, seem to be looking for some kind of edge. I agree about Lakisha which is a shame for she has an outstanding voice. Sanjaya has his "hair" factor. Eventually, I do believe that the best singers will be left. It's too bad this year seems to be more about gimicks than substance.(IMO of course)In a small way it's sort of like "Survivor", the contestants are doing what they think they need to do to survive another week. unfortunately(or fortunately depending on you point of view) it's not always about improving vocals. I think I probably put everyone to sleep with this by now so I will end it. Take care

I don't care who's exposing their breasts, I'm tired of it. Haley, Lakisha, Paula, whoever. Lakisha's breasts were well covered, earlier in the competition, until she started wearing the long gowns. But the equally endowed Melinda still manages to keep hers under cover. Which makes Haley's breast exposure seem even more deliberate.
