Not nude pics, but this isn't exactly something that American Idol would seem to enjoy. Depends, I guess...If the pictures were taken with Antonella knowing that they would be posted in the Internet for everyone to see, then yeah. I think it should be enough to get her voted off the show. Otherwise, it's just college girls having some fun... perfectly understandable. From my limited knowledge of the Frenchie incident, I think she did it of her own accord, with the knowledge that the pictures are for a porn site. These pictures look like they could be posted by someone (a friend of Antonella, maybe) and were distributed without her knowledge. But then again, anything that would get her kicked out of the show is a good thing in my book. BTW, the pictures may or may not be safe to open at work. Better to open them when you're in the comfort and discretion of your own homes.

I think the toilet picture isn't that big of deal. She is covered mostly.I think the pics of her drinking underage are worse. Several sites have got pics of her with beers in her hands. Looks like they were taken maybe last fall or the fall before, so she'd have to be 17 or 18 in them. I know, no shocker that college kids are drinking underage, but still.

Soft core porn in a fountain. I would bet AI is going to have to address this now, since there's bottomless posing going on. Emphasis on posing. And to the poster below me, a person that puts themselves in the public spotlight has to expect some scrutiny.

Problem is do we really...REALLY...need another out of control self-appointed "star" running around? I think not. Get her out of the contest and somebody in her life please get her back under control before she ends up in rehab.

(although surely a really bad choice) What I do care about is her taking tasteless pics splashing in the fountain at the WWII National Monument. She broke the law by entering that pool, and she showed no respect for the millions of people that lost a friend or family member in that war. You just don't go there. This goes beyond tasteless.

Think about this: How would a parent of a tween child feel knowing they accidentally stumbled upon some sexually explicit photos (we all know how easy this is to do) of Barba? The newest photos must have just materialized, because what I saw on Hollywood Grind (just put in a google search for Hollywood Grind Antonella Barba) was explicit & sad (particularly for her). I try not to judge Barba - she should be able to do whatever she wants in the privacy of her own bed - however, to even be considered as one of America's idols is just another sad indicator of where our moral values as a society stand: The last thing we American's need is more scandal & more despicable, so-called, role models for our kids (Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Mary Kate Olsen, etc., etc., etc.). She needs to bow out and they need to bring the other singer on board. If this were anything other than American Idol, I would say, as an adult, who really cares(?): Unfortunately, with as many kids that watch this show, the producers need to nip this in the bud, before parents re-think the show's value.

Many of the photos aren't even her.My relatives fought in wars, incl. The Big One, and I am sure that they would not mind if she took photos for her boyfriend there. If she gets booted off of the show, it should not be for fake pictures that some hater doctored and put on the Internet. By the way, I don't think that she sings that well. (Yes if you go by freckles, No if you go by ears, and as said above - can't go by oobies - doesn't work.) My personal opinion? I don't think the very mild girls-gone-wild photos are horrifying - nor do I think the 'calendar' pics are worth a burning at the stake (tacky? ohmyyes). I'm not even going to consider the other ones here...BUT AI is a brand, and a "Family" brand at that. If they decide to boot her because she doesn't follow brand guidelines, I'll be ok with that. If they decide to let her continue to compete - I'll be ok with that too -- but don't expect her to hang around for long. Not only is she a crap singer, but she's crossed from Marianne, straight through Ginger, and into Paris territory. She's toast.

In general I think she sucks - she picks bad songs & she doesn't sing them well. She also seems to be oblivious to this - witness her insane comments about Jennifer Hudson. So she's bad, and stupid.Of course, we also know she's stupid for leaving naked pictures of herself around in this day & age. Someone her age should know that any digital pics laying around are just begging to be uploaded somewhere. As for the "doctored" photos, I don't think they ARE doctored. However, it's not certain it's actually her. Some say it's a different woman from a netporn site. But - an article on RNO brings up a good point - no one - NO ONE has come forward to say they're not her. (well, Amanda did - but really, where are her parents? The boyfriend (or ex)?) In fact, AI peeps said things like this - Seacrest: "...These things, they were taken at a time that a private moment. It was something between her and somebody close to her. It was meant for them and not for us..." And David Bloomberg said: "Seacrest must have been talking about the worst of the photos when mentioning the “private moment,” because the others of her drunk, topless, and/or posing in seductive positions were obviously not “private moments” – some of them occurred on a beach with several friends, for example. I think this is a total shame for this girl. I have no love for Antonella's singing abilities and I think she should be given the boot for that alone, but what a despicable "friend" for posting provocative photos (fake and real) of her online. The real ones are no big deal -- college age girls having a good time and nothing really risque. In this day of camera phones everywhere, teens snap photos of themselves doing all kinds of stupid things (i.e. on the toilet) all the time, I'll bet, never thinking they'll end up online. And the faked photos -- somebody should take that Amanda person to task. What a horrible, jealous person. As far as underage drinking......please. Let's not cast stones when we live in glass houses. I'm sure there are some people who didn't drink when they were underage, but I'm more sure that the majority of us did. It's almost a teen rite of passage, legal or not, "acceptable" or not. It's a little disheartening in this day and age that any past unacceptable behavior you might have exhibited, or bad judgment, can be used against you if you get a little fame. Everyone's got a skeleton (or a bone or two) in their closet.

I think the whole Antonella scandal has been blown out of proportion. Every year something like this comes up. The problem I have with Antonella is that I just don't think she's that good. I feel it's a publicity stunt done by her and her friends to put her in the limelight.
She is getting far more *exposure* than any of the other contestants....
Who will the voters remember when it comes to voting?
AI isn't doing anything about it cause they know it will make for great ratings....more people are apt to tune in to see her.....and to vote for her to keep her in hopes of seeing more pics of her.

I have a feeling that the producers took matters into their own hands and declared Antonella gone by lower votes. They knew people wanted her gone anyway. I don't think she would get lower votes for the final 12 spot, Sanjaya made it so it stands to reason that she would too. So I believe they gave the spot to the next vote getter which was Haley. This is just my opinion of course.

I think it's because of the compromising photos that Antonella is gone. Whether the viewers were behind her ouster. Or, the producers. Since, there were worse singers. Sabrina, who was rightly voted out. I had to mute her shrieky "vocals" Tuesday night. Gina was even worse. Horrible voice, IMO. And, the trashiest dressed AI contestant I've ever seen. At least Antonella kept herself decently covered. During the competition, at least.
