Okay, I'm new here. Perhaps, you may describe me as a "newbie." I suppose that is "one up" from "lurker." Which I think I was before. Cause I only read the episode summaries, and the replies, and in my complete excitement for the season finale of Joe Schmo, I have been reading all the posts with "unbridled" enthusiasm. However, I am left with some questions.Do you think that Matt will be so surprised, his eyes will finally completely exit his skull, instead of just protruding out of his head like they normally do? (Seriously, he has some type of eye-popping disorder)
If his eyes really DO pop out of his head, perhaps that is the popping noise we heard at the end of the last episode. The "What is going on here?" stemming from the excruciating pain he was experiencing, and also... the sudden blindness.
As for the other comments about everything else:
Matt doesn't know. He is clueless. Listen to his voice. His voice tells all... That sniveling, non-confidence you hear? That's all real. He's very real, and he is very loving. He has no idea. Sure, maybe in the darkest regions of his brain, he knows that things are afoot. But he doesn't know how elaborate everything is. And I don't blame him. Come on, why would you suspect anything different? Yes, mistakes have been made. But, you don't think that everyone is making up an elaborate sub-reality around you.
On a scale of 1-10... 10 Matt doesn't know.
As far as the acting goes...
Hutch is okay. Sometimes, I think he thinks to himself, "I'm going to say something gross, cause my character is gross." I think he's funny, but he's not great.
Ashleigh is phenomenal. She created the characters for Schmo to see. Always telling him "who the characters are." The asshole... the buddy... the innocent... But she does it in a bitchy way, and that's why I like her.
Kip is hilarious. I'm gay. I know the stereotype. I love it. I just hope he says "analogy" one more time. Or does at least fifteen more elaborate hand gestures. I love how he gets this "gay" look in his eye, that isn't there when he is just talking as himself the actor. Beautiful transformation. Also, the fake magic thing was so perfectly executed. He should win an emmy for that. It was sooo funny.
I should mention. Kip + Hutch = AWESOME.
Molly is allright. She has nice boobs, and I thought it was funny when they popped out of her bikini. But come on! A virgin, she is not. She doesn't stay in character enough for me to believe that.
Brian did a great job. I thought his performance has been underrated by others on this forum. He said "nut-knuckle!" He was hilarious. He was a "buddy." HAAAAAA!!!
Dr. Pat was too weird. Not believeable enough of a character. I think she did ok with it though.
Earl was good. I think that one of the toughest parts of this show, is not just "staying in character" But, like all reality shows, you have to deal with living with everyone else. I think Earl nailed the balance. They all loved him, and Schmo did too, but Schmo was also slightly afraid of him, in a respectful way. GREAT!
Gina sucked. All around. Sucked. She messed up too many times. She didn't make any sense. BUT!!!! HER EXIT WAS ABSOLUTELY THE FUNNIEST THING!!! She couldn't open the door, she messed up with what she wanted to say, if it was on purpose, well, maybe I'm wrong and she is a great actress, but if it wasn't. Well... she sucked, but it was entertaining.
Ralph was fine. His costumes were off the hook crazy.
OK, I think that's it. Time to make some dinner so I can have a full stomach before I see the last episode of The Joe Schmo Show.
By the way, I'm Dan. Nice to meetya.
I hope you liked my first post. I will be a complete DAW in no time, unless you hate me. In that case, I'll be one faster, as I will be dedicated to making you love me.
