kcstrip 76 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Hollywood Squares Square" 08-20-03, 04:30 PM (EST) "Robert the misunderstood" OK, I know I'm going to get a lot of flack from many of you, but I'm going to lay a little psycho-babble on ya. I think Robert isn't a creep, but merely has a misunderstood communication style. There 3 different communication styles. Robert is what you call a kinesthetic communicator. Kinesthetic communicators talk more from emotions and feelings. It's harder for them to communicate clearly because they have to sort through their emotions first and "feel" if what they are saying is right. And of course English being his second language doesn't help much either. Kinesthetic people are also more in touch with their physical bodies which explains why Robert is such a physical specimen as well. So, the fact is Robert isn't vain, fake, nor weird, just a little misunderstood because of his communication style. I tend to empathize with Robert, because I too have more of a kinesthetic personality. While I don't think he is a good match for Lisa, I am hoping he makes it to the end, if nothing else than to piss off her bitchy friends.   Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

"RE: Robert the misunderstood" I think Robert is playing a very clever game to keep himself on this show as long as possible and get himself seen. He's obviously a regular on dating reality shows, and seems perverted on other ones (even more so than on Cupid). He knows he is amusing a lot of people, and they will keep him on the air for a while. If Laura would back off of him, people would lose interest in his lame antics and he would be gone in a flash...it's the Robert/Laura clashes that keep people calling in for him (and I'm betting he knows that too, that's why he keeps doing things that he knows are going to set her off).   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I don't think the guy is quite crafty enough to be playing any mind games or reverse psychology to keep himself in the game. I will admit the guy is pretty clueless, but I just don't think he's a creep.
