I know I'm coming across as a major hardass, but there's a method to my madness. Folks complain that they're too busy to look through all of the threads to see if something's out there already. When we don't put a lid on duplicate posts, it's much, much worse. That's just more posts that people don't have time to read. As a results, there are loads of threads that no one's reading, and repetition instead of discussion. Those of us who have been around awhile enjoy the discussions, the give-and-take that can take place on the threads. When all the duplicate threads starting popping up, that got lost. And it's no surprise why. Y'all can tell by my DAW count (that's Desperate Attention Postings, FYI) that I've been posting here for awhile. The reason I've stayed so long is because I enjoyed discussing shows, not just posting my opinion for no one else to read. That's what the intent of the Guidelines is. So hate me if you want, call me names in your head (not on the forums, though, since you could get banned for that ), but understand I'm not just doing this to be a butthead. There are loads of other things I do to be a butthead that aren't nearly as productive. We really do have guidelines here. Believe it or not, the Guidelines make things more fun.
