I actually tried casting one once in Bashers, but some of the teams aren't valid any more. The Miz/Trish combo is a pretty potent one, and they can tap into some strategies no one else has used. No, seriously. Name another team member who would try sleeping their way around the world. 'If I get the faster flight, you might get something even better...'
Plus Ginger would do something horrible, and that's always a bonus.

I have seen that happen.
Leaving Miami just ahead of Andrew, they let too many standbys on the plane and there was quite a discussion about who was going to get those last couple of seats.
It isn't fun to get kicked off a plane. At least they don't have to worry about not getting out ahead of a cat 5 hurricane.

We were there for a wedding. It was evening and formal and everyone was sad for us before that weekend that the only Sunday flight we could get out was 6 am.
Then we get there and everyone thought we were so lucky because we knew we'd be able to leave.
One of the bridesmaids was a cop and she had to have her gun and pager on her during the ceremony because she was on call.

I'd have to look it up, but I cannot believe that there are absolutely *no* flights other than to Joburg? There's gotta be something that goes to another part of Africa. Nigeria? Kenya? Egypt? Anywhere that will get them out of Maputo and then they could take a connector to Dar es Salaam.
Or did I miss a direction that said they *had* to go to South Africa only?

Well....Expedia, Orbitz and Travelocity had no flights listed. Sidestep had a ton of them listed but all leaving Maputo were SAA or LAM. Once you got to Johannesburg though you have several over carriers to get you to Dar es Salaam.
I did find some obscure travel sites that did have United, KLM, Kenya, and TAP Air Portugal going from MPM to JNB but I could not find a schedule for any of those right now.

After yet another 40 minute delay in starting, this week's episode made up for it. I really love when planes separate the teams. Charla and Minra were brilliant for going to South Africa early, that was key. And look, the last team did not check in until the next morning! Phil looked like he just woke up to check Eric and Danielle in lol. A 2 hour show next week will be nice.

I cannot believe how large of a separation we have between the teams. It certainly makes the race more interesting, but also a little more painful since the most hated team is in the front.

They live in Maryland, which is bordered by the Potomac River, Chesapeake Bay, and Atlantic Ocean, and they don't know what a catamaran is?
