"Music in a post?"
How do I get music to play in a post I make? Kind of like the Halloween thread that Scribe had music playing in. I can't copy off her work, because the thread is locked in the archives(dang it!). If anyone can help a girl out here, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

... I'd be happy to help out:

You take the sound file that you would like to use and upload it as a txt file (You can't normally upload wav or midi files). Then cut and paste the file name that the board upload software gives you into this code (do not include the http: portion of the URL):

[bgsound src="//community.realitytvworld.com/boards/User_files/3ddb892f30278e92.txt" hidden="true" loop="-1"]

Click here to see this in action.

Note: the bgsound tag is supported only in MS Internet Explorer 4.0 and beyond.

Thanks for the lesson, IceCat. My only problem is that my file is too big to be uploaded to SB. Guess I'll have to do some searching for a small clip that's less than 90KB. I will keep trying, though.

I really appreciate your help-your the best!

You can find lots of midi files that are smaller than 90K...

Also... if you have the right software, you can reduce the number of bits/sample and the bandwidth(KHz) of the sound file to make the file size smaller. This reduces the quality of the sound, however.

It's easier to find midi files.
