PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.

with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

LAST EDITED ON 06-15-02 AT 03:10 AM (EST)Clearing the cache might help speed it up. For IE6: Tools|Internet Options Under the Temporary Internet Files section, click Delete Files (Sorry, I don't have Netscape so I can't give any instructions for that)

CG,I'm not very good at software solutions, etc. I do run the same version of IE on both my computer at work and at home, and I do see a significant performance difference. The difference is the internet connection type. At work, I have a high-speed internet connection, but at home, I connect through a regular phone line (I have a separate line just for the computer). I'm getting ready to switch to Roadrunner, a cable modem connection. For me, the cost will be comparable to my current internet service (MSN) and the additional phone line. But the connection speeds will be comparable to my system at work. As for the phone line connection, I always try to avoid opening large threads between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. because the traffic on the MSN server I connect through always seems to slow down everything. So if you're connecting through a regular phone line opening the larger threads is going to take quite a bit of time, especially if there are lots of pictures in the thread. I hope this helps.
