I posted this on Writers Rendez-Vous but thought I'd put it here to share with more people.Enter I can taste your scent as you enter the room
it is darker than your soul
but I don't need to see
to know you are there
you whisk in arousingly as though
clothed in a cloak of pure lust and evil
and I hear your breath
but I still can't see
my anxious heart beats loudly in my ears
or were those your footsteps?
your hard hand is gentle as it pushes my hair aside
off of my face
which must be glowing now
for something so cold you have radiant warmth
it channels off of you in waves which caress me
and your weight against my side
melts into my soul
you are saying something beautiful
I'm sure
though my thoughts spin so quickly I cannot focus
and when the whirling stops
it is once again cold
except for the mystical feeling of heat
in the imprint of your body
I roll over onto it
trying to make it last
but - as usual with you - your passionate
flight led you here and you have gone
but as I am addicted to your omniscient darkness
you are addicted to something in me
and I wander off on a journey into the surreal
while not quite grasping the warmth you have left
and silently screaming for you to stay ~ cq
