Jurassic Park IVThose dinosaurs weren't real, but one of them still managed to eat Jaime & Cara. It's been awhile since we've had such a high-stress Roadblock. Literally every single team was there, and the leg basically came down to who finished the task last. The only other similar one I can think of was in TAR4 during that Masquerade Ball Roadblock... There are probably other ones as well that I'm not thinking of. We need the TAR Historians to help me out! Week 5 Results

Nicely done, you two.The Perfect Bet Award list is a massive tie between qwertypie, tvgeek401, alemattos, Scuba Steve, and vince3, who all doubled up. Soooooo, instead of rolling them out one at a time, I'm just going to throw them all at you at the same time. For the remainder of the TAR18 Casino game, players may place additional wagers for individual placements. Got a weird feeling that Kent/Vyxsin will finish 2nd this week? Or maybe Margie/Luke will finish 3rd again? Well, you can now bet on that. A bonus wager will consist of 3 parts, 1) the ranking you're betting on, 2) the team you're betting on, and 3) how many points you're wagering. These wagers are all-or-nothing, so if you're wrong about your guess, you'll score 0x for that wager. Here is the Payout Table for the Bonus Game. Bonus Payout Table
2nd place - 7x
3rd place - 7x
4th place - 7x
5th place - 7x
6th place - 7x

8th place - 7xMax Individual Bet - 5 points
Max Number of Bets - 7 As you can see, there are two restrictions on your bonus bets. No bonus wager may exceed 5 points, and you may only make up to 7 individual bets. You can spread them around however you'd like... The point is that you can't make more than 7 of em. A sample bonus wager might look like: 2nd place - Jet/Cord (5 points)
2nd place - Gary/Mallory (5 points)
3rd place - Kent/Vyxsin (5 points)
4th place - Kent/Vyxsin (5 points)
5th place - Kent/Vyxsin (5 points)
5th place - Flight Time/Big Easy (5 points)
8th place - Zev/Justin (5 points) You can spread 'em around however you want. You can play it safer and double-up in some places. Or you can try for many of them. It's up to you. You'll also notice that 1st place isn't on the list. Well, that's because you're already going for 1st place in the other payout table, so it seems redundant to double-up on that ranking. One Last Thing.Oh yeah, one more thing. If you're the only person to get a specific bonus wager correct (and everyone else is wrong), I'm going to +5x the payout on that bet. So this week, your 5 point bet could score 12x.* So, dare to be different. This additional bonus may change over time depending on whether this breaks the game or not. TAR17 Teams Remaining

Actually I was very lucky that K&V did not officially cross the finish line two weeks ago because of my all-in bet on them that week. Let's bet 5 big TARBucks on Lakisha and Jen. And let's also do 5 in the bonus game on Kent & Vyxsin to finish fourth. Sometime you should try win/place/show betting like horse races. Where could you find formulas for payouts? They are dependent on the amounts bet on each racer for each finish, aren't they?
