After so many seasons of the show, it's amazing how you forget how tiring that Roadblock was. I mean, you remember Lena/Kristy had a rough time with it, but you forget how much trouble it was for everyone. It didn't factor too much into this week's elimination, though, because there wasn't one. Gary/Matt were saved by a non-elimination leg. Week 7 Results
1st place - FlightTime/BigEasy (2x)
2nd place - Meghan/Cheyne (1.5x)
3rd place - Brian/Ericka (1x)
4th place - Sam/Dan (.5x)
5th place - Gary/Matt (0x) Ouch.Pretty rough week for scoring. Sam/Dan were by far the most popular wager and their 4th place finish didn't help scores much. Since they were the unanimous favorite, it didn't really shake the ranks up for most people, however. Every time I do the Mini-Wagers, I think of what a fun idea it would be, forgetting that I'd have to re-watch the episode to hear the keywords. Here are the results. Mat - <NONE> We had another player bust out of the game, vince3, who got jinxed by the curious lack of taxis in the episode. Thanks for playing, vince3! I hope to see you next season!  The Perfect Bet Award goes to chiubakka (2.16x), due to some nice bonus wagers. Yogi (1.71x) also had a nice week. Nice! This week, players may wager on which team they think will be the PAT, or Painfully Average Team. It's the team that finishes right smack in the middle of the pack, or 3rd place overall. It's a simple right/wrong wager. If your team finishes 3rd, you win the bet. If they don't, you lose it. Players may only bet on one team, and the wager may not exceed 30 points. Because we're so late into the season playing PAT, it's going to be a very high stakes game.  PAT Payout Table

1. "Payout Table Construction" |
This post is a guide for the person who wins the Bonus Game this week. Think of it as a weekly reference guide. The rules will change throughout the season as the game gets a little looser.After the new episode airs, I'll post the correct answer in this thread, identify the winner, and send a private message to that individual. The winner has until the following Tuesday night (midnight) to contact me with their Payout Table for the following week. They can either post it in this thread or send me a private message if they want to be secretive. If the winner doesn't contact me with their Payout Table by Tuesday night, I will create the next Payout Table instead. Payout Table Rules(These may change throughout the season when we get farther into the game.) 1. Your Table must have a ranking for all the potential rankings of the teams. Use the format that I use. 1st place -
2nd place -
3rd place -
4th place - (This is assuming they eliminate a team on Sunday. If they don't, add 5th place on there.) 2. 1st place must be 2x and last place must be 0x. 3. The payout multipliers must either decrease or remain the same as you go down the payout list. It may never increase as you go down the list. Therefore, you can't do something like... 1st place - 2x
2nd place - .5x
3rd place - 1.5x
4th place - 0x That would be pretty mean if you did do that anyway. We'll save that scenario for potentially later in the season. You could do a 2x/2x/0x/0x if you felt like it, though. 4. The sum of the multipliers must equal the number of rankings. If there's 4 teams left next week, the multipliers have to add up to 4. If there's still 5, they have to add to 5. 1st place - 2x
2nd place - 1.5x
3rd place - .5x
4th place - 0x 2 + 1.5 + .5 = 4 Think of it as the good payouts balancing out the bad payouts. 5. No negative multiplier numbers. Man, why would you do that to a person? 6. Round each decimal to the tenths-point. No 1.24235245x payouts. 1.2x will do just fine, thank you. If you follow these rules, your Payout Table will be accepted. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Which is eerily close to the last time spread. mikey was closest, being off by only 1 minute.mikey, be sure to send in your Payout Table to me by Tuesday night, and pick one of the following bonus games: 1. Lucky 5. Pick two of the four teams and if their ranks at the end of the next episode totals 5, you win the bet. 2. Minority Rules. I'll post four point totals, and players will decide which bonus they want to have. Whoever votes for the option that gets the fewest votes will win the bonus amount. Everyone else will get zero. 3. Confessionals. Make a wager on which team has the most confessional moments in the next episode.
