First and foremost, thank YOU for dealing with my sarcastic snark this season even though we tend to be on opposite sides of the Reality Show spectrum.I head a local committee that distributes scholarship money to deserving students in my area and the ceremony is tonight, so not sure when I’ll be home to watch the Finale. I’m guessing I will probably miss the first hour but should be back to watch the end and the Reunion Show. SEVERAL weeks ago, I believe I predicted the F5 to be Mike, Drea, Lindsay, Romeo, and Maryanne. I’m pretty sure I said Lindsay would win the final IC, carry Maryanne to the Finals and Drea would lose the fire-making tiebreaker. (You could go back and check me on this as I’m certain I posted it in this forum.) Because this season was SOOOO ridiculously predictable, I got four of the five correct. Thought for sure Jonathan would have been victimized by the ADS by now and didn’t think Drea with her treasure trove of advantages would exit when she did. Although I couldn’t predict Drea would burn her II when she flashed the “race card” and how the liar screwed her over on the Knowledge is Power advantage. My prediction will not change that Maryanne gets carried to the Finals, and with the Jury we have now, I see no way she CAN’T get the votes needed for the million bucks...no further explanation needed... Maybe we’ll have a lame final IC like in Gabon when pathetically inept Susie won some friggin’ "build a house of cards" challenge. LMAO. That might give Maryanne (or even Romeo) a sporting chance. Catch you after Finale and enjoy tonight!

Hi guys! I'm sorry that I've been on Ghost Island this entire season, but it's been a tough time in the Dice family with human and K9 illnesses and injuries. We're all fine now, but my usual Survivor Basher schedule was turned upside down.I'm predicting that the jury is leaning towards Maryanne, but then she goes on one of her 30 minute stream-of-consciousness rabbit trails and there just isn't enough Advil to go around. Therefore, everyone steps up and votes for... *drum roll* ... Lindsay. Mike hugs everybody and Jonathan grabs a leopard out of the nearest tree, skins it and eats it raw... just to fill up his depleted protein tank.

Michel and RollDdice,Another season in the books. Rather than do a recrap/summary of the Finale, I’ll do a final post basically confirming the presumptions I’ve had about this season and it’s predicable ending...despite the shrewd Production editing and final “red herrings” the Jury threw at us pouring their pitchers of Kool-Aid to make us think/believe their decisions had not been made before FTC motivated by obvious factors. What we saw in this Finale is PRECISELY why you do not want to run the risk of carrying lower-tier players in the early part of the season and even post-merge. Any player who has a 26-day opportunity to get to the end is bound to have their “moments.” One of my favorite movie lines is from the film “White Men Can’t Jump” when Wesley Snipes said to Woody Harrelson who finally dunked for the first time, “The sun can shine on even a dog’s ass some days...” Maryanne’s Ah-huh “moment” came when she revealed her II she kept a secret to everyone (finger to lips...SHHHHHH) Ben would have been proud; kudos to her for that. The ray of “sun” hit Romeo’s “ass” when he won the final IC of the season. Watching the IC closely, Romeo used his hand to block the ball as it was about to exit the chute and THEN grabbed it. The other three allowed the ball to drop in the palm of their hands (which inevitably dropped to the ground.) You can debate whether that was clever on Romeo’s part or just plain dumb for the other three, but I’ll give Romeo props for the win. Bottom line...despite what was said, or the mini-orgasm embellishments by most of the Jury when Maryanne revealed her II * snort* NO WAY I’m believing Rocksroy, Channel, and Drea do NOT vote for Maryanne in the end. In that same vein, I also do not see Lindsay, Tori and Mr. “Feminist” NOT voting for the only female in the F4. I don’t expect everyone to agree with me, but I’m not drinking the Jury’s Kool-Aid either. Listen, it was a fine strategic move on Maryanne’s part, but as a Juror voting to award a million dollars to the best “player” for the season, I’m going to take into account the ENTIRE 26-DAY BODY OF WORK. Using that criterion my vote would have gone to Mike. Now, do I think Mike “owned” or “dominated” this season like Westman did in Palau, Kim in One World, or even Tony V. in his two wins? No, I don’t. Quite frankly, I didn’t see any one individual castaway as a wire-to-wire dominant player this season. I just think if any one (preferably two) from the player pool of Lindsay, Omar, or Drea were able to join Mike in the Finals, it would have made for a much better Finale. PS: RollDdice, glad to hear all are on the mend!
