- I know not if this Q-zap message will be distributed. The last of our reserve batteries are almost dead, we have very little Oxygen left in our survival suits and no energy to carry on. This...is the end of man's journey on Earth. We burnt our planet, raped its ressources to the last and now Humanity's future rests with those who, up into the night sky they blasted. Through the universe, their engines whine while back on Earth the flame of life burns low. And, since Fire is life, this is the end of man and time.

- Well folks, we can finally say that the losing streak is over: For the first time since 1967, the Leafs have won the Stan Lee Cup! Of course, our records are incomplete due to the great loss of data suffered during the Cyber World War of 2139 but, going by memory of veteran fans of the game this would indeed be their first cup since the days of Dave Cohen, Bob Bullford, Johnny Brewer and Terry Shawshack. They win it in 3 games against their long time foes, the New York Strangers, another team that was hoping to end its long drought, one that has been going on since the days of legendary Captain Mack Messieur. It's fitting that the last Canadian team wins the trophy that, so long ago, had been offered to the league by Canadian King Stan Lee in this, the final season of the International Hockey League. Unless the league finds the energy to make artificial ice, the short winters of Siberia and Canada are making it impossible to play on natural ice that just doesn't stay frozen for more than a few weeks.

«Dad, it's time! Turn on the Holographe!»
The image came on just in time to hear «Welcome to Survivor 242!» Little Allan Ruba clapped just like the new cast members who were shown standing on what was left of the Fiji Islands. This would probably be the last edition held in Fiji because the islands were sinking fast into the Atlancific ocean that is now covering more than 85% of the earth's surface. Spoilers are already pointing us to the island of Montreal as the next location for the long lasting Reality Hologram series. It makes sense because, with it's yearly average of 78F and it's sandy ocean beaches, the coastal Island of Montreal looks a lot like what Fiji used to look like.

Jiffy snuffs Omar's torch, surprising the over-confident schemer who thought he had everyone fooled.

Day 23 - How did we get there?

After winning immunity, Lindsay is quite happy: «I feel awesome. It came down to me and Jon. He's a giant of a human being and me, I'm a woman, and I won!»

In his own little spot Jon was quite somber: «Lindsay winning was the number one thing I didn't want to happen.» With Mike, he agrees to vote out Romeo.

Omar is telling Mike it's Jon while Jon thinks that Mike is going home. A super confident Omar wants Jonathan going home tonight... «Our plan is foolproof» we hear him boast.

In order for the plan to work, Lindsey presented it to Maryanne, certain that she will go with it.

Mary Ann will use her extra vote, Lindsay and Omar want to take out Jonathan...Mike has an idol. Mary Ann has an idol and an extra vote. Omar is set to receive Lindsay's amulet Idol.

It's then that we hear the first clunk in the plan: Lindsey doesn't want to play her idol, fearing that it will go back into circulation. They have the number, they have the plan, what could go wrong!

Well...

Maryanne is thinking (that's what went wrong!): «RIGHT NOW I THINK THAT OMAR CAN MAKE IT TO THE END AND THAT HE CAN BEAT ME IN THE END. I HAVE MY EXTRA VOTE. I CAN GO WITH OWN MY PLAN AND USE IT THE WAY I WANT TO.»

Maryanne goes to Mike, trying to convince him to vote Omar and get Jonathan to do the same. Mike is hesitating because he fears Omar will be playing Lindsey's idol: «It's my Life that's on the line.»

Maryanne goes to Romeo and tells him that Survivor isn't a democracy because she has 2 votes. (Trump would say that we finally have proof of voter fraud but that's how Survivor works.)
- «We don't have 6 votes,» she tells her fellow goat, «we have 7! This is a risk that we have to take, I am getting frustrated and I have to make my own moves to get to the end....if they don't listen to me then my whole plan will go up in smoke.»

So, in the end Maryanne pulled off the rare but perfect 3-2-2 vote
- Jonathan and Mike voted against Romeo
- Lindsey and Omar voted against Jonathan
- Romeo, Maryanne and Maryanne voted for Omar who was shocked but he quickly realized that is supposed perfect game was just a plan going up in smoke.

Earlier that Day

Jonathan handed the necklace back to Jeff, confident he'd get it right back.

He did fairly well, leading the race to the last stage but that's when things took a wrong turn. In that last stage, the players had to use a table maze to guide two balls around numerous obstacles and land them in their holes. Mind you, Jonathan did OK. In fact, the only two players that ever got to their second balls were Jonathan and Lindsey. Jonathan was even the first one to line up his ball to the final hole but it lipped out and wound up in the gutter. Lindsey overcame an initial lip out herself but she forced her ball to make a quick U-turn and it settled into the hole.

-«For the second time, Lindsey wins immunity!» yelled as usual our host.

Day 22

Omar, Lindsey, Maryanna and Romeo pigged out on chocolate cake and cookies.

The Reward challenge was in two main stages: The first stage was a race over a net and a balance beam and then we had the obligatory puzzle at the end.

While the usual suspects did well in the first stage, we saw that only Omar and Maryanne were adept at puzzles. It was in fact Omar that quickly pulled ahead and, when he asked our host to verify his work, Jeff gave us the big spoiler of the evening: «How confident are you that you have it right?» Omar walked right into the trap and gave himself a big, wet kiss of death by saying he was 100% confidenty. (Since we're talking about death, wouldn't it be a dry kiss?)

He was right about his puzzle so he had to chose between a chicken dinner or a chocolate cake. The cake option came with the added bonus of selecting 3 losers to accompany him instead of only 2. Omar, listening only to his inner 4 year-old, chose the chocolate cake.

Night 21

Returning to camp, Lindsey is ecstatic that she picked the right box in the «Do or Die» competition. Everyone was happy for her (bunch of hypocrites!) Everyone applauded her, even going as far as giving her hugs of reassurances even if, by now, they'd be ready to vote out their own mother.
