Reality TV World Message Board Forums
PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats, but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are encouraged to read the complete guidelines. As entertainment critic Roger Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

>Isn't there a section that's just "La la la la la. La la la la la la," etc.? Or have I just been in the bar with EBug too many times?

*** LOL!!! No, it's not Buggy playin' with your brain! Minnie Ripperton did two versions of the song, to my knowledge - the part with all the "la la la la"s in it was the popular radio version you probably know. She does it in a couple of places in the song. In a more personal version, dedicated to her daughter Maya, there's a longer part replacing some of the lyrics where she just sings "Maya Maya Maya" over again in the basic melody of the song - it's SO pretty! On the Saturday Night Live Mother's Day special this past May, all the cast members had their mothers appear with them, except for the two members who's mothers are deceased - Molly Shannon (who's father was with her on the show) and Maya Rudolph (also with her father and stepmother). As she appeared with her dad and stepmother, she told them both Happy Mother's Day and that she loved them both, and then wished her mother a Happy Mothers Day, and they showed an old clip from the 70's of Minnie Ripperton doing the "Maya" version of "Loving You." It was beautiful, I was bawling!
