mhb0125 485 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Daytime Soap Guest Star" 03-08-06, 10:54 PM (EST) "Santino got gipped!!!!!" I totally loved his collection!!! The whole season those dumba@$ judges said he was too over the top, he does somethind beautiful and wonderful and they wanted it to be more Santino. IMHO, there was NOTHING over the top in this line at all!! His work was beautiful, and showed the true genius he is, in that he can design quirky, as well as feminine and alluring. What a shame, but I do think he'll have his own line without this show. Too bad he didn't get all the perks that Chloe got, who really didn't need any of this. I have to say, while I'm really disappointed that Santino didn't win, he should have covered all his bases. My opinion is they were looking for *any excuse to degrade his collection and the one and only thing (that I could see) he failed to do was fit his collection on a human model. I'm wondering about that, in fact...it seems rather elementary. Anyone have an idea as to why he didn't? I loved his palette of colors, also the romantic aspect of his collection. Even as they were showing them while they were talking about it, I was like, huh? It was very unfortunate that his and Nick's models didn't show up on the first day. I have to strongly disagree on the color palette though. His colors were all over the place! That in itself ruined the collection for me. It was especially obvious when all the models were parading the runway together at the end. And how boorish to yell out a cuss word to open his show. The reason Santino wasn't able to fit his models before the runway show was because NONE SHOWED UP. That is not his fault. During the Finale Part 1 he was stressing out over it--and of course ALL of Chloe's models showed up. I don't know if the show or the models themselves were in charge of getting them to the designers. If it was the show it seems like a little bit of sabotage went on. I personally loved the different colors Santino used. Like 3 of Chloe's designs were all the same couchy fabric and were so plain jane. I wish I was a millionaire so I could Santino's line myself. "Tim tipped the decision" I knew Santino wasn't going to win after I read Tim's interview with People Magazine this week. http://people.aol.com/people/articles/0,19736,1159539,00.html Q: Who do you think should win? A: I really believe in the quality of what Chloe, Daniel and Santino have done and in the powerfulness of their point of view. Those things to me are equal, so it really does become a matter of taste to the judges. Q: But if you were in the judging seat, whom would you pick? A: Can I be really honest with you? I would not choose Santino in spite of the fact that I think his collection is phenomenal, because if you put him next to season one's winner, Jay McCarroll, Project Runway looks like a freak show. With Chloe, one can say she's already achieved a good amount of success, and that Daniel and Santino would benefit more from this. I feel very conflicted about it. I can see debating for and against all three of them. Chloe will be docile with the producers, and her win will encourage more regional designers to put themselves into the competition. But calling her the "next great American designer"? Please. Does anyone really doubt that Santino, like Jay before him, would have turned down the first prize? The producers couldn't have wanted that. I think I was just really frustrated that the whole season they are ripping him for doing too much, and ripping on him for not taking anyone's advice, and then we he does produce some brilliant stuff, and take some advice, they jump all over him for not being "Santino" enough. Santino definately got ripped off. I am sorry I hated Chole's collection. Chloe's designs were not nearly as exciting as Santino's and Daniel's. I can find you a local tailor who can do the same thing she does. It's a tough call between Daniel and Santino, but I think in the end I would have to choose Santino. This was one of those reality shows where it was fairly obvious that it's all planned out.
