"Jill needs a third opinion"
I love Jill, but I can believe that she just accepted the opinion of the second doctor without question. I think it was what she wanted to hear.

My thoughts are that the "free" county doctors would of course advise against an expensive surgery at this time in her uninsured state. I would see that as their motive for telling her that she should put off the surgery. Of course the reasons that they stated do make sense, but how about their checking to make sure that the tumors are not in the ovaries and that if they are in fact in the uterus, that they are benign. I for one would want anything that I can physically feel from the exterior of my body out of me asap. What if Jill never quits smoking and don't lose an extra 50lbs., should they delay the surgery indefinitely?

Basically I believe in the old saying that you get what you pay for and hopefully because the treatment will be county funded they are not trying to cut cost at the expense of Jill's health. She desperately needs a third opinion...
