PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are

Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

"Malone-Brown" |
Let me start by saying first that I am African American. I was appalled at the behavior of the husband Abasi. There are so many positive ways to enlighten a person or even persuade someone, but apparently he is too full of anger. What I'd really like to respond to is the fact that Mrs. Malone-Brown made statements about the daughter of the Perrin family needing to move out. In true African culture we take pride in our daughters remaining at home until they marry. Even if they are 30. If she is working, providing a better life and family structure for her daughter, why are we so quick to push our children out the door. Now if she was not working, disrespectful, immature, etc, then I would see cause for her to move on.

I know you posted in this long time ago. The show replayed recently and it had me floored so I've been google to do my research to see how others felt. I am a white woman, 24, with a lot to learn. I am not racist the least bit and I try my hardest to help everyone. I am so glad you posted this blog because it made me feel a lot better. I sat back for a minute and was wondering if I was going about things the wrong way and if there was any way I was wrong. My husbands best friend is a black man, actually his family is African! I love them to death! I usually turn to him when I have questions because he educates me very well. Anyway, enough rambling, I just had to say thank you for posting this, it made me feel a lot better and less angry!

Thank You because you said it first, I would be ashamed to have that man represent my race.... He was rude rude rude... It is his fault how she spent the money. I also agree that family should stick together, I would like to see how see will feel when it comes time for her child to leave home.
