"MAKE IT EVEN MORE CHALLENGING EASILY"
Ever wonder how to make this game a lil more challenging. I thought of an idea...making whoever wins the Veto competition go into an room to talk to big brother. Have some type of game, or dice set up which the veto winner would play/roll which would DICTATE whether or not they MUST use the veto. Side rule being that they cannot tell anyone in the game about the game/dice which makes them use the veto or they will be the kicked out of the game. Of course in time, a few will realize what is going on as in time a few of them will meet the same challenge, but talk about having to turn your back on your alliance and not being able to tell them why would really make the game much more enjoyable to watch......Any other ideas?

They should let all the housemates view what everyone has said in the diary room.

But that was only the ones in sequester, right? Not those still in the game.

That's what cost Dani her ultimate victory.

What they need to do is prevent this ridiculous "backdooring" by making the veto a two-part competition. First up, they still have the HOH, nominees, and some lucky SOB or three compete for the POV. Then, they bring back the old silver POV medallion, and everyone who doesn't compete for the POV competes for it - I call this the Second Chance. The winner of the Second Chance is awarded the prize in secret and take it to the Veto ceremony. If the Veto is used, the HOH obviously picks someone to replace the nominee. If they pick the person who has the Second Chance, two things happen:

1. The Second Chance holder is safe from nomination;
2. The Second Chance holder picks the new nominee in the HOH's place.

Also, the Veto winner may opt to sock the Veto away and not use it if he or she wins. However, in a new twist, this option should be good one time only for each houseguest. So if, say, Erika wins the POV this week and decides not to use it, please recall that she won it earlier in the season and didn't use it. Therefore, if she refuses it again, she has to spin the Wheel O' Doom.

On five of the ten spaces, it says "Nothing happens." On another, it says "POV winner eats slop for the week." On another, it says, "Entire house on slop indefinitely." On another, it says, "Ineligible for HOH and POV next week." The last one is "POV winner replaces one nominee." The POV winner replaces whichever nominee answers a closest-number question more accurately without going over. So in theory, by not using the veto, Janelle could be off the block and Erika could take her place, thus sealing James' fate.

Backdooring is a cowardly way of evicting a HG. This occurs when an evicted HG NEVER had the opportunity to save themself. This happened to Jase in BB5 and James in BB6, but contrary to the belly-aching and sore losers amoung the "all-stars", it has NOT happened this season.
Jase contends he was backdoored, but he participated in that POV and did not win; so he has himself to blame. Marcellas said that Diane was backdoored--WRONG AGAIN. Diane likewise participated in the POV and did not take advantage of her opportunity.

I think your suggestion may be a bit too involved for the feeble-minded HGs they usually cast on BB, but any suggestion to eliminate backdooring works for me.

Jase and Diane were both incorrect in their assessments; you are right. neither was actually backdoored this season (I didn't watch BB5; I assume that the "six-finger" plan of which Jase spoke was to backdoor him.) Backdooring is ridiculous and exposes a flaw in BB's game plan. That's why people always need a way to save themselves. Season 4 got this right, but it also had the little problem of the veto only being used one time except for that dumb ##### Alison to save herself (Season 3 had it right except a person couldn't use any veto but the last one to save themselves, and Marcellas was doing some pretty heavy dope by that point, judging by how he didn't use it.)

The game seems to have evolved as follows:

Season 1: Weekly HOH puts up two nominees; those nominations stand. America votes out one person.
PROBLEMS: HOH can't serve consecutive weeks, so there's no way to save oneself by competitions; also, America would vote out popular people because they would generate as many haters as fans. It's as if, say, using baseball teams as an example, the Yankees went on the block against the Royals. We all know the Yankees are a better team and would kill the Royals with no trouble whatsoever, but so many Yankee-haters would get the Yankees out of the house. No one gives a $#!* about the Royals, so they stay.

Season 2: Weekly HOH puts up two nominees; those nomiantions stand. The other houseguests vote out one person.
PROBLEMS: Again, no way to save oneself, since the HOH still can't serve consecutive weeks. It's very easy to get revenge, especially in alliances. The HOH is easily the most powerful position but is effectively castrated the next week and is powerless. Revenge nominations are very easy to do and nothing can be done to prevent them.

Season 3: Weekly HOH puts up two nominees; those nominations can be challenged by the Power of Veto, sought after by ALL houseguests. The winner can overturn one nomination; a nominee can only use it to overturn the other nomination, not his/her own.
PROBLEMS: What's the point of having the POV if you can't save yourself? This, again, makes revenge nominations very easy, and since nominees rely on someone else to save them, someone can refuse out of spite.

Season 4: Weekly HOH puts up two nominees; these nominations can be challenges by the POV winner. All houseguests compete for POV. The winner can overturn one nomination, including his/her own.
PROBLEMS: It's a perfect system, except for one problem - no one but a nominee will use it. Nathan used the POV to take Alison off the block (sadly, sanity didn't get the better of him, and sadly, I cheered when he did. I still don't know why.) That, other than self-vetos, was the only time it was used.

Seasons 5 and 6: Weekly HOH puts up two nominees; these nominations can be challenged by the POV winner. Only the HOH, nominees, and one person each of their choosing competes. As always, the winner can overturn one nomination, including his/her own.
PROBLEMS: Revenge nomination is back in style, only this time it's called "backdooring." An HOH can't just put up a tough player on the block, knowing the rest of the house votes that person out; this time, the HOH puts up two decoys, makes sure the targeted person doesn't compete for HOH, makes sure the winner uses the POV, and puts up the targeted person. It's no different from revenge nominations except that this is more complicated.

All-Stars: Weekly HOH puts up two nominees; these nominations can be challenged by the POV winner. Only the HOH, nominees, and three randomly selected houseguests compete. Once again, the winner can overturn one nomination, including his/her own.
PROBLEMS: Still backdooring, albeit there's no guarantee it's going to work. Also, people misuse the word "backdoor" too much this season.

The Zoidberg Plan: Weekly HOH puts up two nominees; these nominations can be challenged by the POV winner. Only the HOH, nominees, and three other randomly selected houseguests compete. A person canoot be randonly selected to compete for the POV two weeks in a row; the only time they can play for the POV twice in a row is by being an HOH or nominee one of those times. While the POV competition is going on, the rest of the house competes for the Second Chance; the results are given in the diary room in secret, so no one knows who wins it. If the POV is used, the HOH puts up a new nominee; if he/she picks the SC holder, the SC holder blocks the nomination and selects a different nominee, excluding the HOH or vetoed nominee.
PROBLEMS: Probably production issues and backdooring will still exist, but at least a target can save him/herself this way.

Well, at least they're going to attempt changing it up with this Coup D'Etat doohickey that Julie mentioned on Thursday.

Hopefully it'll actually work.
