DHerder222 63 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Hollywood Squares Square" 10-22-04, 00:57 AM (EST) "Something's Going On..." Just finished watching this week's show. I find it very strange that almost all of the preview revolved around Andy - Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think they've ever centered the whole preview on one person. He's already the first person in either season to survive three boardrooms and we know Trump seems to take a personal liking to him, so do you guys think that all this attention means that he'll go far?   Top

I think it's just that Andy has been hanging on by a thread, and Trump wants to test his leadership skills. He probably assigns him to the PM position next week, and if his team ends up in the boardroom, he's out of there.   Top

You know this show is so unpredictable you never know what is going to happen. I think Trump maybe trying to extend the inevitable but he seems to be getting tired of Andy too. On the other hand Carolyn was just out of college and working for the golf course that Trump bought and soon after made her the manager. So maybe he would prefer someone he can groom as opposed to someone already soiled by corporate crap.   Top

It definitely seems as if Andy will be on the warpath next week. I see him as PM and either he leads his team to a stunning victory or comes up way short while Elizabeth continues to drive her team insane with all her "it's has to be the highest quality, P&G is a conservative company, we need something froofier (yeah I said froofy). my guess is that since they point to people wanting to fire Elizabeth, Andy goes instead.   Top

And George has spoken well of him in the past, encouraging Donald to keep him in the game. At this point, though, Andy (like Elizabeth...) appears to be a promising assistant, not a leader. I don't see either of them surviving into the finale. As a matter of fact, I think Elizabeth will take the taxi ride next week... Pepito   Top

You know, Andy is being treated like every recent graduate is usually treated once they are hired for the first time. Most of us have been there: there's a period of adjustment, your boss and general manager try to take it easy on the new and unexperienced guy, and they give him/her a lot of oportunities so he/she can finally break out of that shell and start working at a more advanced level of skill. But that period of time only lasts for a while, couple of months, sometimes a year... Once the "learning period" is coming to a close they will put him/her on the spot and if by then the newby has not shown improvement or at least that is learning the business, out he goes. That's Andy's situation ladies and gentlemen... Trump knows that experiense is against him. Everybody else is around 30 years old, with much more experience than him and Trump realizes that, so he gives a little bit of leverage to the guy. But last night Trump said to Andy something like:"...I'm sick and tired of sticking out for you..." That's your call Andy, time is up. Now is time to show them what do you have to bring to Trumpsville... I'm pretty sure if you just dare to get out of that shell, you can do well. Otherwise, You're fired.   Top

Actually, you're right. He's the only one to survive 3 boardrooms (this season). However Kwame and Heide both survived 3 last season (Kwame PM for Planet Hollywood and the Art Gallery, high rise task and Heidi for the flea market task, charity auction, and art gallery).   Top

In additional to the 3 mentioned tasks, he also was also choosen to the boardroom for the bargaining task (where Sam was fired). Also, as mentioned in earlier posts, Nick also survived 3 Boardrooms - the Airline adversting task where Jason was fired, the Planet Hollywood task, and also the water selling task where Erika was mad at Bill for selling her out.   Top

I think it implies that Andy may be on the chopping block, however, those editors tend to lead us on, so we'll have to see. If Andy wises up, he'll go far, but not with Mr. Trump. I don't think Trump takes a personal liking to Andy. Trump seems to be jumping on the bandwagon that Andy is too young, yet he doesn't say anything specific to back that up. He's actually like Heidi in that way, he can speak for hours and not say a thing. IMHO   Top
