"The Apprentice Love List Volume 1.4"
I'm really glad the women got their comeuppance for their unprofessional behavior because their actions are embarrasing and demeaning to all corporate women.

1.) Bill (5) - Liked his motivational ideas for offering incentives to the employees, and for refusing to be a part of the autograph ploy.
2.) Jessie (3) - Jessie is getting more air time, and was at least trying to think outside the box and come up with some ways to boost sales without selling herself.
3.) Amy (1) - Amy remains high due to past successes, because she worked on selling sex as much as anyone and made the stupid "it's not a crime to be attractive" comment.
4.) Katrina (9) - For successfully leading the women's team to victory.
5.) Ereka (10) - For keeping her emotions in check.
6.) Troy (2) - Troy falls for coming up with the autograph ploy.
7.) Tammy (12) - Didn't irritate me this episode.
8.) Heidi (11) - Probably won it for the women with her cocktail waitressing skills, but looked pretty guilty when they were getting a talking to about using sex to sell.
9.) Kwami (3) - Should have been fired tonight for being the losing team leader and for using questionable ethics with the autograph ploy.
10.) Kristi (8) - Leave it to the porn star to come up with the "Shooters Girls" theme.
11.) Nick (6) - His oily salesman persona was back this week along with intentionally quitting so that his team will lose. And anybody who identifies with Insanity Sam needs his head adjusted.
12.) Omarosa (13) - Primadonnarosa was much calmer this week, but she still needed to be the center of attention in everything.

Katrina for leading her team to victory? It was a coincidence that the team won and had nothing to do with her leadership. Kristi obviously did more for that task, and owns a resteraunt...yet wasn't PM. Why? That made no sense to me.

Katrina was completely disorganized. She didn't formulate a plan..Kristi did. And when things got erratic she did little to save the task. The other women had to jump in.

And what is this seed money that Trumo speaks of? Are you telling me that each team had a bit of a "marketing budget" and haven'ever used it? It would have cost the guys about $50-$100 to hire 2 hot women to walk the street outside Plant Hollywood handing out coupons and getting people inside. Which means the women could do the same thing and hire 2 women to be Shooter Girls.

And, I don't think Nick saboteauged anything. The guys used the autographs tactis just a few hours before the deadline. Nick felt that it was a dishonest tactic and didn't want to be associated with it.

I do agree with you about Bill. The incentive program was an excellent idea. But I don't understand how none of them knew that the money to be made was with the liquor.

Nick has been playing games from day one. I know that this is an elimination but, Nick is constantly ducking leadership responsibility because he believes (correctly) that the PM is on the hot seat when the team fails. Therefore, he thinks that he can avoid elimination indefinitely by staying back in the shadows. It may be helping him survive but, his lack of effort is undermining the ability of the men to be competitive each week. Remember, in the closing minutes of the show Nick was shown standing outside of the restaurant mumbling unenthusiastically "this is stupid". He wasn't saying "this is wrong" (refering to the autograph business). He was just depressed because there was no foot traffic and the restaurant was empty. Later, he said that if Kwame dragged him into the boardroom he had a defense ready "the guys were cheating". I think that the point here is that everyone on the team may not agree with the decisions of management but this does not make quitting acceptable. If Nick objected to what was happening, he should have distanced himself from actual involvement in the event and continue working elsewhere in the restaurant to help the team win. Instead, he quit on the team and should have been fired.

First-time list here, so no previous rankings. It took a while before I knew them well enough to feel I could slam them with the proper affection.

1. Bill. This is what passes for the moral high ground. Of course, you could have tried harder to put a stop to it. It's not like you threw your body across the autograph table and screamed 'Get the police!' You didn't even pull Kwame back into the kitchen for a private discussion and leave him tied up in the meat locker. But, since I'm fairly sure you were at least daydreaming about it, you get the top spot. (But next time, think mutiny.)
2. Jesse. You display a little originality of thought and you jump a spot or two. You don't mindlessly follow the Pasties Pack, and it gets you a few more. You prove that you're actually willing to use business skills to win a business contest, and it's another step up or six. You completely fail to get your point across to the others -- well, no one was asking you to work miracles.
3. Ereka. She tries. Oh, she tries. And eventually, she's going to wind up with her hands wrapped around someone's neck, we'll all cheer her on for the eight seconds before security reaches her, and she'll be hauled off in a straightjacket, muttering 'It's just a stupid cookware metaphor...' all the way. But in the meantime, she's certainly trying.
4. Katrina. Congratulations on getting another bucket of water out of that well, but isn't the bottom starting to look a little dry to you?
5. Amy. You're right. It's not a crime to be attractive. But using your appearance in place of tactics, business strategy, and actual thought is a moral offense. (Exactly what were you hoping to accomplish on this show again?)
6. Tammy. Who?
7. Kristi. 'And next week, our challenge will be to improve the profits at a failing strip club? I've got some ideas!'
8. Troy. Aided. Abetted. And didn't even accomplish much in the process. (Becoming an American hero isn't about stealing, Troy: it's about stealing on a large scale.)
9. Nick. So you have chosen to follow The Path Of The Sam. Allow me to help you take your first step. Yes, that's it. Right into the open elevator shaft.
10. Heidi. Do you know what would have made for really great TV? 'We've got a customer dead from alcohol poisoning in the bathroom'
'Oh. Had he already paid his bill?'
'No.'
'I'm so sorry... get his wallet!'
11. Omarosa. (Lack of) Momemtum placement. You haven't dug yourself any deeper, but there isn't much redemption coming down the pike, either.
12. Kwame. Yes, some of the people who got the autographs were arguably stupid. (I'm letting the kids off the hook here.) Yes, no one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public, and yes, as Bill Cosby paraphrased, it's all about finding someone dumber than you were for coming up with it. Regardless, lots of people have gone broke after being sued for fraud by the American public. Good luck.
(Ironically, those autographs are probably worth something now...)

Fired: Bowie. He did nothing to offend me. He did his best (which admittedly wasn't much at times, but he was trying) in the contests. I could understand his accent and follow his logic most of the time. He probably would have been around the #4 spot if he was still around. And yet, he's gone. And like everyone who gets fired on this series, he's arguably better off.

3. "RE: The Apprentice Love List Volume 1.4"
1. Bill The only guy who seemed to be thinking last night.

2. Jessie I just like her. She may be the only woman who doesn't immediately say, "But how can I fit showing my t*ts into this somehow?!"

3. Amy I like her a lot, but agree completely with djandy about the stupidity of her comment "is it a crime to be attractive?" Don't play dumb when you're not - leave that to the genuinely dumb like Katrina, Kristi, and Heidi. The women knew exactly what Trump meant, and I wish he had been a lot more vehement (he should have let Carolyn rip them a new one - she looked like she was up for it).

4.Ereka She had the sense to keep her mouth shut most of the time. it's better to be silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

5. Nick Until he got all self-righteous at Tribal Council (whoops, in the Boardroom). I wanted to smack the smirk off his face. Even Omarosa can shut her trap and pull with the team when necessary, you big baby.

6. Troy The autograph idea was sleazy.

7. Kwame A lame project manager - he should have been the one fired this time. Bill was ten times more effective. Kwame also went along with the autograph scam.

R.I.P. Bowie This is network TV! They couldn't have a fat guy win, right? He was destined to go. Seriously, he was wishy washy, but I thought he deserved to stay more than Kwame or Troy - at least for his performance in this week's task.

8 Tammy and 9 Omarosa - both do lots of eye-rolling and bitching, but contribute little in the way of ideas to improve matters. (At least Oma toned down her obnoxiousness a tad last night.)

10,11,12. Kristi, Katrina, Heidi Kristi is a restaurant owner and didn't volunteer to be PM. Project Manager Katrina did little or nothing to contribute to the women's victory (except the good old reliable T&A). Heidi is a bimbo who looks like a scary-ass fish. Selling shooters and drinking with the customers? Ugh. Way to lose Planet Hollywood's liquor license.

LAST EDITED ON 01-30-04 AT 11:50 AM (EST)

1) Bill - one of the few last night who seemed to have a clue as to what the task was, how to motivate people, and how to operate ethically. Would have liked to see him grab Troy and Kwame and stop the entire autograph nonsense. Also would have liked to have seen him take charge and take Nick off the street and actually make him DO something. He wasn't PM, but he at least seemed the only one to have some authority and to have thought about a business plan.
2) Jessie - at least she tried. She got smacked down by the totally incompetent Katrina and didn't protest, but I probably wouldn't have either once I saw how things were shaking out. Let the idiots hang themselves.
3) Ereka - seems to have decided to keep her mouth shut for once. Didn't impress me, but didn't make me cringe either.
4) Omarosa - see above for Ereka. And wouldn't that just send them both around the bend?
5) Tammy - only here because I didn't see much of her. Otherwise, I just don't like this woman. She seems a little snaky to me, but I have no evidence, just a feeling.
6) Katrina - if everyone else hadn't totally repelled me, she's be much further down the list. I said it above...she's totally incompetent. Where did they find this airhead? No plan, no authority, should never accepted being PM when Kristi was there.
7) Kristi - only below Katrina because she should have known better than to let Katrina be PM. At least she showed some knowledge of her field in that she knew what all restauranteurs do...it's all about the profit margin on liquor. Loses big points with me for the Hooters girl idea and for going along with the drinking on the job. She definitely knows that Planet Hollywood could get major sanctions for employee drinking and for serving intoxicated customers.
8) Amy - she was my favorite to win until last night. There was nothing to admire about her last night. No, it's not a crime to be attractive. It is a crime to sell your body as a commodity...that's called prostitution and has no business in the corporate world she would like to be in. Had to edit this simply because I had dismissed her from my mind she let me down so badly.
9) Kwame - another total incompetent. Went along with the whole autograph scam. I am very disappointed in him as he seemed pretty competent to me up until now. Isn't doing much for the business ethics department or recruitment at Harvard Business School.
10) Troy - the whole scam was his idea. Had to realize the ethical problems with it but pushed it anyway. Would never do business with him now. Too bad because he had shown me a lot up to this point. I thought he had great people skills and was very likeable. Great attributes for a salesman...of snake oil.
11) Nick - gets points for being outraged by the ethics of Versacorp's tactics. Loses all of them for deliberately sabotaging the group's sales effort, for not stepping up with an alternative, for taking Sam's side, and most of all for the obnoxious smirk in the boardroom.
12) Heidi - what's next with this tramp? Going naked and handing out free heroin samples? She showed no remorse when dressed down by the Donald and his minion. That smirk she had says it all about her. I'm embarrassed she is my gender.

5. "RE: The Apprentice Love List Volume 1.4"
1. Jessie-for keeping her dignity and using her head instead of her boobs and for having no fear when talking with Katrina.

2. Nick-For not following the herd. He felt bad for Sam (doesn't mean he idolized him or agreed with how he conducted himself) and saw that the other guys didn't treat Sam very well. Yes, it's a game, yes it's a competition. But that doesn't mean you should completely remove compassion. Sam was the geeky kid being picked on by the jocks, and Nick was the guy who stood up for him in the cafeteria. They were bullies and Sam didn't respect that.

3. Amy--I just like her. I admire how well she interacts with all of the difficult personalities on her team and still maintains respect.

4. Bill--Incentive program was a great idea--'cept he was giving away revenue. The food was priced extremely high (as that's how most tourist traps here in NYC do) so it wasn't likely that they sold more than $300-$400 worth of food per hour. Why not ask the manager if they could offer the staff member something differnt as an incentive like....a bonus at the end of the week? OR offer the wait staff member with the highest gross sales of the night a reward of $200 total? If they paid $100 per hour to the staff, and they were on a 5-7 hour shift...that's almost $700 in revenue gone.

5. Omarosa-For knowing enough to tone the abrasiveness down. If the women wanted her gone so badly then they would have made her PM. Clearly they didn't choose the PM based on actual experience, so I'm wondering if they chose based on who they wanted gone next.

6. Bowie--he was so positive, even in his goodbye speech at the end. He tried and he was always pleasant.

7. Troy--for hitting the pavement and giving some down home comfort to the tourists. But lost his point for coming up with the autograph scam.

8. Ereka--Christ, she's a phony.

9. Kristi-for not stepping up to the plate. She's constantly ducking leadership. There's flying under the radar, then there's just plain hiding.

10. Heidi--Bimbo. She reminds me of the women in every company who's a good salesperson/account exec--but who sabotagues herself by sleeping with half her co-workers. She's just trashy and the make-up has to go.

11. Katrina--No leadership skills. Can't think logistically. Looking to blame others for the task failing rather than regrouping and coming up with Plan B. Emotionall erratic.

12. Kwaami-Kwaami had screwed up numerous times and rightfully should have been canned last night. Last week he had all the profit margin info when sitting in front of the Donald---but where was all that data when they started the task? Plus he agreed with Jason when he said they shouldn't meet with the client. Auutograph scam was just poor judgement all around.

1.) Bill - He was the best last night - if not for him there would have been no profit at all. He has shown good judgement in the past when to try to speak up and dissagree while allowing the PM to call the shots.

2.) Jesse - She has in the past stood up for Oma and has talked about not using sex in previous episodes. She continues to hold her ground on what she thinks is right without causing arguments. She is using business practices rather then sex.

3.) Tammy - Only because the rest of this pack made me angry last night.

4.) Nick - Only because I have liked how he has handled himself in the past. I will give hime one break since I agree with his opinion that the autographs were unethical - he could very well drop next week.

5.) Krisi - At the beginning of the show - she commented about how the group decided on Katrina and not her and shrugged. So I dont agree she didnt step up. She also was the ONLY one who knew that the bar was gonna make or break them. Without her - the girls lose.

6.) Ereka - she is a little to emotional for me and I'm still holding off my judgements.

7.) Amy - She has done nothing but use sex from the get go and her project was the worst. She truely doesnt believe there is anything wrong with that - If she wins she will ruin it for the rest of the women in the country who are smart, pretty, and DONT use sex to get ahead.

8.) Heidi - She just hasnt impressed me at all and I'm not sure why she is on this show.

9.) Omarosa - Although she rubs me the wrong way - she has not done anything questionable and clearly has some brains

10.) Kristina - Clueless - nuff said

11.) Troy - He came up with the idea for the autographs. Enough said

12.) Kwame - didnt he pick the fish market in the first show. The gold issue was not so much a problem for me since it was clear that Sam wasnt going to listen. But - he did not lead at all and just handed everything over to Bill - which now that I think of it was the best idea he had. He did nothing to motivate or get his guys going and then to pull Bowie into the board room was just wrong. He is quick to blame others for every defeat which is his biggest fault.

"I'm really glad the women got their comeuppance for their unprofessional behavior because their actions are embarrasing and demeaning to all corporate women."

Well said.

Yes, me too. Finally someone said something. Their behavior is NOT going to win them the war. It's vulgar and disgusing, child-like and unprofessional. Why did it take them so long to say something?

I noticed one of the women trying to sell this guy some drinks, he wanted to go the PH the next day, and she told him NOT to go tomorrow, only today. Granted, that particular drink special was only for that particular day, but PH still needs business tomorrow. She only had her self-serving interests in mind (in a sales scenario, it would have been her commission on the line) - which gave us some insight into her mind set that she could really care less about the client. On top of that, she has no clue as to how much about herself she just revealed to the world.

Why didn't they have any long-term solutions for increasing revenue like creating more partnerships with NY tourism? Make it a daily stop on the tour, they could redeem a lot of coupons that way. Give the tour bus drivers free lunch, then invite the patrons back the next day on their own for 20% off on a T-shirt with the purchase of Happy Hour with Appetizers - this is basic stuff, and not one of them could see past their own noses.

The way they (guys and girls) paraded themselves made me think of a cheap circus act, street vendor, snake-oil salesperson. What does this cheap display do for PH's reputation? Not to mention DT and Mark Burnett - he could have developed the show much better.

The guys are really stale and unmotivated. They don't do well under pressure. The one that got fired handled himself with a lot of grace on the way out - that was refreshing.

I think Omarosa is finally seeing how transparent some of her fellow contestants are, has found her "sea-legs" again, and probably wont give in to the temper tantrums surrounding her. Leave it Ereka to turn Omarosa's calm into something that it is not. Nice try, but it wont fly!

It would seem while watching this show, that a degree(s) doesn't necessarily mean much in the real world. What if everyone had a degree with jobs abound - who would run the gas stations, supermarkets and Target Stores etc? Makes you appreciate waiters/waitresses that much more.

Is this the first that the guys learned about the gal's "sex sells" campaigns? They didn't have much of a reaction. If I was one of the guys and had learned about that - it would give me a new sense of empowerment.

------------

I don't have much of a "Love List" but if Omarosa can stay out of the fire and stay on task, my vote is for her as of this minute. May be subject to change after we find out what the "betrayal" is.

I don't love any of these DAWs. After seeing Bowie fired, I have come to the conclusion that these early competions don't mean a lot, and that Trump is going to pick whom he wants. So my list is of the people still remaining whom I think have a chance to win:

1-4: Amy, Ereka, Bill, Troy

Nice job, good insight djandy. Here's mine:

Note: For my list I decided not to consider anyone for the #1 spot who HAS NOT been a Project Manager. I'm looking for leaders not followers.

1. AMY - So far she is the total umm.....package. Obviously she is a very attractive woman (although it took until week 3 for me to truly notice it). She was project manager during the ad campaign, and she single-footedly kicked the men in the nads with negotiating the Big Bertha for cost + 10%. Most importantly, she has managed to stay away from the "border skirmishes."

2. TROY - Don't let his Don Johnson looks and Mathew McConaughey voice fool you....this guy is smart. As project leader he stood behind Kwame's choice for location to sell lemonade (although in hind sight it was wrong). He kept Sam under control as much as any one man can. The "hat" idea can only come from a person who is able to read people. He jumped on the grenade for the boys with the leg wax. And he showed he wasn't afraid to walk the tight rope that is ethics when he came up with the "Kwame Jackson" signature ploy (I didn't hear any other ideas). Also, his analogy of Sam being like Pablo Picasso was right on target.....he's a thinker.

3. Kwame - The guy is intelligent and savvy. If Sam would've listened to him in week 3, the beating that the men received wouldn't have looked so bad. They should never have left Chinatown for any of the items that they needed if they could've helped it. He and Bill (notice I didn't mention Bowie) were "on the same page" to use his words, it's just a shame no one else was. He also negotiated the biggest price difference (percentage wise) with the desposable camera. He took the job as project manager for Planet Hollywood (not too many in the real world would do that) even though he wasn't confident about it, thanks to Nick The Snake. If the "Kwame Jackson" signature idea is unethical, then there wouldn't be any such thing as commercials, coveat emptor baby. More importantly, he wasn't afraid to speak his mind, even though he knew Sam was going to pick whoever tried to go against him to join him in the board room.

4. Tammy - She was the one who pushed the phallic symbol ad campaign and it got them the victory (and it was pretty good). That showed she had creativity and umm....balls to voice her idea and fight for it's approval without being too pushy. She didn't go along with the "shake your money-maker" for $10 off gold boullion scheme, so she has some amount of respect for herself.

5. Bill - Another guy who's shown he has some skills to be a leader. The only problem is he hasn't been, officially. There's a difference between being a project manager and just being a guy on the team. Project managers have more pressure to deal with and if their team loses, they know for a fact they'll be in the board room. Everyone else just trys not to mess up and piss off the PM so they'll stay out of the board room. He needs to step up to the plate and show me what he's got, if not I'll keep putting him in the middle of the pack -- where he can be safe.

6. Ereka - "There's only two things in this world I got. My balls....and my word. And I don't break 'em for no one." She's cute to a fault, and if you don't agree she'll make you say hello to her little friend! She came up with the team name (Protege) even though it reaked of kissing up to the boss man, but it wasn't as bad as "Donald's Darlings." Come to think of it, nothing is. She organized her team in week one even though it was time consuming and hectic for a while, but it paid off for the women the end.

7. Kristi - Say what you will but at least she's consistent. She knows where her "expertise" lies and she has no shame in piping in when the time calls for it.....which is everytime! She's going to run into a little creative quagmire now that The Donald has put a halt to going to the arsenal marked "T&A", But she may have something to contribute if her teammates feel that she has any sort of wisdom outside of the sheets.

8. Omarosa (P)M-S - It seems like she has gotten rid of that planet of chip that was imbedded in her shoulders and decided it's best for her and the team to play and work well with others. I doubt she won any trophies for Miss Congeniality in her beauty pageant days, but it was probably because the trophy was too small and there was no money in it. That aside, there's talent here and it comes out in tiny doses. Obviously she isn't creative but that's not where her strengths lie. To borrow Sam's analogy....Omarosa's a quarterback, not a cheerleader. She's not going to stab you in the back because she's constantly in your face, and when she decides to take you out -- you'll see it coming.

9. Jesse - She has a quiet confidence and beauty that is easy to miss if other A-types are near. I like the way she stood up to Katrina when she felt slighted. She's not afraid to change something up when it's not working, and she can take criticism without whining about people "trying to eliminate" her. She's not the kind of person that's going to chew you out if you make a mistake, which may cause others to see her as passive or weak, big mistake. She is Coach Vermille not Bill Parcels. She'll go about her business and before you know it, she won and you didn't.

10. Nick - This guy is an absolute piece of work. Where did his allegiance to Sam suddenly come from? "He'll get vengence through me." Only if Nick decides to take himself out first. If he truly was Sam's friend (which I doubt), then his "was the unkindest cut of all". He thinks he's slick, but he can stand a little greasin'. Clearly, he's shown no sack whatsoever by "volunteering" Kwame to lead the group in the hopes that if they should lose, Kwame would be the next to go. Great plan Iago, but why Kwame? If getting rid of the "conspirators" was your prime objective, then Bowie would've been the obvious choice for PM. You always go after the weakest target first, that way if he survives -- he can't hurt you. Kwame figured it out later that night, "your grandstanding just like Sammy!" and decided to bring you with him to face The Donald. But once again Kwame can only see one move ahead and decided to bring Bowie also -- instead of someone stronger like Bill who he knew Trump couldn't cut -- forcing Trump to put Bowie out of his misery. And I don't buy for one minute that "I disagreed with what the guys were doing that's why I quit" bit. He was looking for a way to cover his tail and the signature "scam" was all the excuse he needed.

"And therefore think him as a serpent's egg; which, when hatch'd would, as his kind, grow mischievous -- and kill him in the shell." ~ Julius Caesar

11. Katrina - Only because she has a hot body and looks better than Heidi. Shameless, I know, but I'm a guy first and foremost. So far Katrina has shown that she is nothing more than a pretty face and a nice piece, which is a shame because you can see that she has some intelligence which she's not getting the most out of, or is it all just another scam? Top 3% in Real Estate sales for the whole U.S.? I'm betting it's the very expensive property, you know, the kind that basically sells itself? And did you see the size of the rock on her finger? If she's anything more than a high-priced bimbo I'll be shocked.

12. Heidi - Tammy Faye called, she'd like her make-up back. The circus left town a long time ago, definitely before week 1. After the men were at a two person disadvantage, she could have snuck over to their side and no one would've been the wiser. She tries to be cute when there is absoulutely no way she can pull it off. Had Katrina not been there in the jewelry store with her, I'm pretty sure Michael would've called New York City's Finest. "Uhh, yeah 911? There's a clown in my store and he won't leave!"

You place Ereka high on the list--but next to Katrina--she lacks the most emotional control of all the women. And that is one of the biggest prejudices that women face in the workplace today. Ereka tosses round the "F" word when arguing, she cries, she's JUST AS confrontational as Omarosa...but she seems to get away with it because she's cute. What EXACTLY did she contribute to the last four missions? She blew as PM for the lemondae task. She was unorganized, lacked focus, was chaotic and emotional when being the PM of the lemonade stand; she was essentially a tour guide for Amy during the ad campaign because she was a New Yorker; and where was she in the negotiation task? At Planet Hollywood...she tied her shirt at her wait and walked around in stilletto boots hawking coupons.

So...other than come up with the cutesy name of Protege (which she delivered with a wink and a giggle to Trump) what EXACTLY has she done do demonstarte she has the mettle for this job?

What you see as a lack of emotional control, I see as self-confidence. Ereka knows who she is and she won't put up with anyone trying to shove her around. Sure, she got a little frustrated in week one during the lemonade challenge, but who didn't? It was total chaos. I won't penalize her for standing up for herself when the other women are more than willing to let one or two people impose their will on the rest of the group.

The only person that Ereka HAS been confrontational with is Omarosa. BUT Omarosa has also had beef with Katrina. So to say she has been as confrontational as Omarosa is a bit inaccurate. And the only reason why Omarosa is the "bad guy" is because she needlessly made "pot calling the kettle black" into something racial.

Other than Amy and Tammy? Just as much as anyone else.

That's a matter of opinion. Again, in the beginning it was chaotic, but they pulled it together and got the victory. Was she solely responsible for the win? Probably not, but she was in charge, so if she must assume part of the blame if they lose, then she must get part of the kudos because they won.

>she
>was essentially a tour guide

Part of being a team player is knowing your role in a given situation. Now if you said she was a terrible tour guide for Amy during the ad campaign even though she was from New York, then you would have a legitimate gripe here.

>and where was
>she in the negotiation task?

Ok, she didn't participate in the "show skin for squid" debacle. She didn't participate in the "jigglies for gold" embarrassment. Amy was the sole perpatrator of the cost + 10% heist, and Amy and Omarosa were the only ones that I saw in the beauty salon getting the leg wax. I think it was a good thing that she sat this one out.

>At Planet Hollywood...she tied her

I think that was the plan. Blame her for going along with it.

Nothing much. But she has demonstrated (if not by subtraction) more than those that I have ranked lower than her.

If you've noticed, the men and women both appear to pick their PM's AFTER the task is made. I understand why Sam was chosen as PM in episode 3, but he was chosen BEFORE the task was given out. The guys literally "threw" a task mainly because they wanted Sam gone. If they truly liked him, thenm the wouldn't have put him in charge before hearing the task. If they thought he was a jackass, then why put him in charge of a mission when they were already 2 down?

I understand why they wanted him out....but they did it at the expense of losing...which is sort of like quitting, no? They wanted to see Sammy fail...even if it meant losing a task.

So, in my opinmion, whomever was behind making Sammy PM (I believe it was Kwaami and Troy) was willing to sacrifice his team just to get rid of Sammy. And that, to me, is unacceptable.

The whole point behind Trump's weekly "lesson" i.e. " A Deal's A Deal" is to show us what values his Apprentice must have. Episode 4's skill was integrity. He doesn't like that Nick emotionally bailed at the end, but he valued his ethical standrds...even if they were dramatized by Nick for the boardroom.

The point ';m arguing here is...when is it okay to state your principles and refuse to compromise them? And when your principles are crossed...what is the apporpriate way to handle it?

I'm curious to know what your definition of "threw" is, because apparently it ain't the same as mine. They must have been trying to "throw" the task when Kwame explicity told Sam that price of gold was determined by the market price at the time of sale and it wasn't going to change significantly no matter when you buy it. They must have "threw" the task when they called the sporting good store (the only number that Sam gave them) that didn't sell golf clubs. And they must have been trying to "throw" the task away when they were sprinting through the streets of New York in order to get the items that they needed to complete the mission in time. The guys picked Sam because it was win-win situation. They were either going to win a task or Sam was going to get fired because they didn't.

Sam was a cancer, and he was killing the morale of the entire group. You don't let cancer spread throughout your whole body because you're fond of your liver. You cut your losses and you move on.

>I understand why they wanted him
>out....but they did it at
>the expense of losing...which is
>sort of like quitting, no?

Uhhh...No. Picking Sam as PM wasn't a guaranteed loss. Sam's poor choices were. Quitting is when you believe that there is no way that you can possibly win, so you decide to give up. Clearly, that's not what happened in this case. But in the end, the instinct of the group proved correct....Sam is certifiable.

>They wanted to see Sammy
>fail...even if it meant losing
>a task.

Aren't you being just a little melodramtic here? To say that they wanted to see Sam fail is too simple of an inference. It seems to me that they were tired of Sam's act, and decided he needed to put his money where his mouth is. They gave him a chance for him to earn their respect and he blew it.

>So, in my opinmion, whomever was

To me, getting rid of a weak in the long run, even if it means taking a loss in the short run, is completely acceptable.

Yeah, if you give your word, especially accompanied with a handshake, you should keep it. It's a lesson Bill seems not to have quite gotten a handle on yet.

Trump and everyone else who was watching knew that Nick was just grandstanding to cover his own butt.

Your principles are your primary foundation and should never be compromised, hence the word "principle". The appropriate way to handle it is to recuse yourself from the situation or conversation from the start. You don't go sneaking around complaining to others, and then when events go awry you finally pipe up and say that you didn't agree with the way things were handled.

Melodramatic? Of course... Not "exagerating" which would be the male equivalent that has a less gender specific connotations. That's a telling statement right there.

Nick wasn't grandstanding. He was in that task full force until the autograph scam came in. He then check out. I don't agree with the fact that he checked out, but I understand why he did it. It was an unethical ploy and he wanted to distance himself.

"The appropriate way to handle it is to recuse yourself from the situation or conversation from the start. You don't go sneaking around complaining to others"

To whom did Nick complain to other than Bill, who was in the restaurant all night and blatantly asked Nick what was going on outside. Nick told Troy to his face he didn't agree with the tactic. They aired the discussion between the two.

My definition of "throwing the task?" Choosing a leader whom I had no faith or respect in to lead us at a crucial time. They needed a win. It was pretty obvious from the discussions that none of them really respected Sam. So...at a time when they were already down 2 men...they let someone lead that they were not 100% sure could do the job effectively. Strategically, it was a stupid move. As far as the gold, Sam was told by the owner of the store that they should buy it beofre a certain time. I have to say that I would listen to the store owner over Kwamme--especially when Kwaami had been responsible for the poor location choice for the lemonade task AND because he agreed with Jason to NOT meet with the client for the ad campaign task. Kwaami's word was hardly reliable.

Clearly, Sam wasn't the sole reason why those guys were losing. None of them have shown stellar skills. Sam became the scapegoat. He brought it on himself by his erratic behavior--but he was a scapegoat none the less.

AS FAR AS THE WOMEN....
I sound so stringent and caustic here because, as a woman, it's unbelievable how male viewers/posters can look at Ereka and Katrina with favoribility yet chastise Omarosa. They are all strong headed, emotional women--only difference is Omarosa doesn't tie it up with a pretty bow, half shirt, short skirt, wink and a giggle. Katrina physically grabs Omarosa, Ereka loses her cool in a matter of seconds--yet you think better of them than Omarosa?

Way to play the gender card instead of answering the question, networkinggirl. A simple "yes" or "no" would've been sufficient. Instead you want to quibble over semantics...ok, I'm your huckleberry. "Melodramatic" means to sensationalize the dramatic elements of a given situation in the hopes that one may elicit an emotional response. To "exaggerate" is to over emphasize the truth about something in an attempt to make it greater than it truly is. When you say that the guys "wanted to see Sammy fail", that's your opinion, not the truth. It seems like you want us to feel sorry for Sam by implying a "conspiracy" on the men's part to lose intentionally. So what does that statement tell you?

>Nick wasn't grandstanding. He was in
>that task full force until
>the autograph scam came in.
>He then check out.

Because of the way the show is edited it's not clear to us when exactly Nick quit on his team. Or is it? Let's have a look shall we? Now, the guys (including Nick) said that the "scam" came at the end of the evening; a last ditch effort to make some fast cash in merchandizing. When we see the "scam" as it was unfolding, the only person we see outside is Troy announcing to the public to get an autograph by Kwame Jackson. Nick is nowhere to be seen. When we see Nick outside of Planet Hollywood being less than enthusiastic about promoting, he is out there by himself. So what does this mean you ask? What this means is that Troy, not Nick, was the last guy outside. Which means that Nick was outside "quitting" before the scam even got started. My guess is once the guys discussed what they were going to do, Nick went inside and stayed inside until it was over. I am good. I won't make you say it.

Sure they did. But I think it would have been an injustice to Sam if he would have been "fired" without being given the chance to prove himself. Ditto for Bowie, he never got a chance. At least Sam's destiny was in his own hands.

Sure, trust the guy who has a vested interest in you buying the gold from him right away. The store owner probably figured that Nick didn't know any better (which he didn't) because if he did, he wouldn't have asked.

I absolutely agree. And as far as the women go, I agree with you on that point as well. Omarosa is being treated a little unfairly, but that is the bed that she made, so she must lie in it. The only reason that I have her ranked lower than Ereka is because of her stupid statement about the "pot" comment. She's not at the bottom of my list is because I gave her the benefit of the doubt that she knew the comment wasn't racial. If Omarosa keeps her nose clean from here on out, she may take the whole thing.
