My wife says it's for the money. The greed we've seen from many people in the past few years shows that there's never enough to satisfy some people. Putting it less cynically, there is the view that it's really about keeping score, and that dollars are the points. This was reinforced recently when I heard that a college football coach had a clause in his contract that, if his team won the Sugar Bowl, he would be paid $1 more than the highest paid college coach.But I'm not so sure. I can't believe that NBC can pay Trump enough to make it worth his while, given that he has to take time out of his money-making schedule to do this. I think it's primarily his ego. He loves having his name plastered over everything he owns. I think he's doing this to get his face all over prime time TV in a generally favorable light. What do you think?

Of course I am just guessing, but I agree primarily with you. He most certainly has a huge ego, and it is highly unlikely that NBC would pay Trump anything near what his time would be worth. But, you are forgetting that the Series promotes the TRUMP name. Such free advertising indirectly increases the value of TRUMP properties.

I agree with Ladro - its all about TRUMP! The income from the series is secondary to the publicity. What do you give the man who owns everything?? His own TV show!!

I agree with Ladro: it's all about the brand. And that, of course, results in extra $$$ for Trump.Anyone remember those tacky Pizza Hut commercials he and Ivana Trump did after they divorced? I think he's just a DAW!!!
