Okay...as much as I can understand why Sam had to go and as much as he irritated me...here is why I am dissapointed by Trump's decision to fire him. First, they addressed the issue f respect and that Sam did not have the respect of his team. So, if his team didn't respect him..THEN WHY MAKE HIM THE LEADER FOR THAT TASK?
Obviously, they made him the leader in order to get him fired....but all that demonstrates to me is the men's inabilty to look at "the big picture." They were willing to risk losing another challenge just so they could give Sam the boot. How is that good business? The women clearly feel that some of their team mates are irrational (hello...Katrina? We get it ...you're a nice person) but they would NEVER put Omorosa, Hedid, Katrina in the leadership position. But...again...this is Mark Burnett/Donald Trump....could we see a "Survivor" like twist where one of the fired candidates comes back?

<<<How is that good business?>>> The 5 remaining guys (without Sam) are a better team than the 6 guys with Sam. I think it is really that simple. Sam is/was insane. He was not only a weak decision maker, but he was a distraction to the rest of the team.

...not to mention that at some point, given how close this is to Survivor, I'm fully expecting Burnett to have a "merge" -- after all, at some point a simple lack of manpower (already being down 5 to 8) would otherwise automatically put the team with smaller numbers at a disadvantage for these tasks.-SB

If it's still a team, the leader for the task could nominate the three people s/he considered the weakest contributors to a win, or sit between two sacrificial victims on a loss. But if it gets down to individual competition, with the players running all over Manhattan on one-sentient business tasks, and just the ones who fail come up before DT -- or they could all fail and all be up at once -- but there's a chance that they all succeed, and only the weakest winner appear... Or is it just too early to be thinking about this?

As difficult as Omarosa is to deal with...I was hugely impressed with how she was able to maintain composure when those owmne were in her face.Sorry, I'm a woman so i don't mean to sell out "my team"'...but the restaraunt owner is a bimbo as are Heidi and Katarina. They are totally damaging their own credibility by relying on sex appeal. Almost all those women lack emotional control. Katarina and Ereeka are irrational and can not maintain composure. They emotionalize everything. Tammy and Omarosa may not be pleasant, but they are obviously very shrewd and very smart. Amy, to me, is the strongest of all the women. She has just the right mix of confidence, strength and femininity.

>Omarosa takes things way >too personally. She has a >chip on her shoulder the >size of Sam's god-awful hat. >I don't find that to >be a shrewd business move >at all. I agree with >you about Amy, though. She's >much more of the total >package. > >Miscellaneous Ramblings >--loathes the bimbos Agree with you about Omarosa's "chip" that comes at the expense of team unity and development. I was really disheartened last week when Erika made the comment "....pot calling the kettle black...." and Omarosa took it as a racial jab. Also, her comments last night about "...working with the President...", I am intrigued by what exactly she does (or she think she does) that she is purportedly, "...working with the President...". If she were that involved, somehow I don't think we would see her on this show. Just my two cents. I love Amy, and the fact that when she introduces herself to potential business partners she is "Amelia". She seems to be the only female above the b.s. and cleavage-revealing "business attire". NSJ

The guys made the only choice that they could. Sam was a divisive force on their team, so they shifted his role to see what he could do. I wondered if they would deliberately tank to cut him loose, but it looked like they instead followed his instructions to let him hang himself. It's not like the lost because they tried to sabotage Sam - they lost because they followed Sam.And Amy's my favorite on Protege, because she's shown the efforts to try and get the group working together as a team as well as individual skills. While her teammates embarrassed themselves (and other women) during their gold "negotiation", Amy made a crucial deal on the golf club without stooping to cheap tactis. Totally agree. They followed Sam's stupid game plan to the T and lost because of it. Maybe the guy's will pull out a win next week.Amy is my fav as well. Glad they showed a little bit of Jessie this week too. I think she has been invisible up to this point. Snazzy new sigpic by Slice

but it looked like they instead followed his instructions to let him hang himself. It's not like the lost because they tried to sabotage Sam - they lost because they followed Sam.Agreed. If the corps switch leaders and follow their new CEO's instructions to the letter, who wins? Sam's instructions were less than coherent at the best of times, and I'm still trying to figure out a genuine reason for not giving out the store's phone number in case of emergency. There's such a thing as pulling too many strings. Sam jerked his team in the wrong directions and the backlash spun the cords around his neck. (Switched leaders. Sam giving orders to Omarosa. Interesting image.) While her teammates embarrassed themselves (and other women) during their gold "negotiation", Along with just about everything that claims sentience (and yet, for some strange reason, still watches this stuff)... Amy made a crucial deal on the golf club without stooping to cheap tactis. I'd love to get a full-scale replay of that bargaining season. Wholeale plus ten percent in the middle of Manhattan? I'm not sure that sale went on the books.

Sam was put in as a leader so the rest of the clan could figure out if he was respect-worthy or not. They got their answer and Sam is now weeping and sharpening his collection of machetes.

If they couldn't win with him perhaps they can win one without him. No one respected Sam and they probably never would've even if he had stayed. It was only a matter of time, it seemed from the first episode that Sam was a marked man. He was an irritant to everyone, and everyone knew in order to have any chance at all that Sam had to go. I think it was a good idea to make Sam the leader. If he could have lead the guys to their first victory over the girls then he would have won at least some of their respect. And since he didn't lead them to a victory he gets the boot which seems fair since he proved that he was the weak link on the team.
