"Six Feet Under"
Did anyone watch the season finale last night? Thoughts:

Claire: I liked that we got to see what's in her head more. The scenes with her dad and the other deceased were cool, although I thought the Lisa/baby scene was a little on the cheesy side.

David and Keith: Their conversation at the church was good, although I think Keith was a little out of character during most of it. For a second I thought I might be watching a dream sequence.

Nate: Majorly going off the deep end, obviously. He's still sexy though.

Ruth and her new man: I like James Cromwell. This is an interesting union, and it was interesting to see the young new guy's reaction to Ruth being with another man.

Brenda: I just love this girl. New neighbor is cute, wonder how he's going to factor in the future since Nate showed up at Brenda's.

Rico: Poor guy. He's trying to keep his marrriage together and has to live with a horrible SIL.

My predictions for next season, obvious as they may be:

- Issues with Ruth/new husband and the young guy (I forget his name). James Cromwell is great for this series.

- More of Claire dealing with her abortion and what she wants to do with her life.

- Brenda helps Nate get it together, and I'm sure her celibacy will come into play. And the new neighbor.

I really hope we get to see more of Dad Fisher and the other dearly departed like we did in the first episodes.

1. "RE: Six Feet Under"
I saw it and I have end of series depression . . .

My thoughts: I am very happy this season wasn’t some sort of dream of Nates, I loved Dad Fishers exchanges with his children, liked Claire’s visit to the afterlife, didn’t like Nate so much, felt bad for Arthur at the wedding “reception”, wish they would have at least hinted at how Lisa died (or did they and I missed it?)

Claire – So happy she got to talk with Gabe and gain closure on what happened with him. I also didn’t care for the Lisa / Baby thing, a little off – but what I did like was how genuinely happy everyone in the afterlife seemed. Especially Gabe. Great line from Gabe: "Life just wasn't the right environment for me."

David / Keith – David is defiantly becoming my favorite character.. He has THE best lines. Of course I don’t remember all of them, but I know I laughed at some. One of the best lines was between him and Dad Fisher:

Dad Fisher: Yah, but you miss him .
David: I miss having sex with him.
DF: You can have sex with anybody.
David: I tried that.
DF: Yah, I saw. Slut!

Nate – Nate, Nate, Nate . . . I love Nate, I do, but I had such a hard time watching him this episode. The fight with his mom? Awful! Even worse, the slut he went home with from the bar.

Brenda – I hated Brenda from the very beginning of the show, but I am now starting to like her, she is vulnerable now, and I think next season it will be good to see what comes of this.

Rico – I agree Mon, poor guy….

Ruth – She seems very happy with James Cromwell (what is the Characters name anyway???) but I also loved how Dad Fisher was crying at the end, I thought for a minute it was going to be Arthur.

Okay, my predictions/wishes for next season:

- James Cromwell is some sort of con man, and Ruth will end up alone again
- Nate/Brenda/Neighbor love triangle. Nate will want something from Brenda to “fill the void” and she will decline because of the cute neighbor, which I think is smart.
- Claire to make friends with a female, I know she had Parker in High School, but she needs a long-lasting girlfriend.
- I don’t see David and Keith staying together, I think they will try again, but it isn’t going to work.
- Also hope to see more of the Brenda/Billy situation.

Now that this season is over, anyone going to watch the FINAL SEASON (AAHHHH!!!) of Sex in the City???

LAST EDITED ON 06-04-03 AT 02:17 PM (EST)

The finale was really tough to watch, IMO. Folks making bad decisions left and right. My thoughts...

Claire - One of the best episodes ever for her (although my favorite scene with her was when she told off Olivier), but I agree, the "death" scene was over-the-top (liked the conversation w/ Gabe, though).

David and Keith - I'm really not sure what they see in each other (it must be the sex). Their roles have really reversed, it seems, and David seems to know what he wants and it's Keith who is struggling to keep it together. The whole on-again, off-again nature of their relationship is growing tiresome, though.

Nate - I know they were milking that plotline for all it was worth, but jeez. Someone needed to kick his ass (although I wish it had been his mom). Talk about hitting rock bottom. I felt the need to bathe after watching that scene at the barfly chick's house. **shudder**

Ruth and "the new guy" - My wife and I are both convinced that he's a con man. He's got all the warning signs. I'm hoping he's not, and that Ruth can be happy for once.

Brenda - She looks like she's finally getting her shit together. The farther she gets away from her toxic-as-hell family, the better. The question is...when will Billy resurface?

Rico - I was really disappointed in how he handled his situation. He needed to seriously talk to his wife about Angelica The Freak. Instead, he made the problem worse by going out and hooking up with a stripper. Extremely bad choice. Don't think we've seen the last of that. Catholic guilt is a killer.

As for next season...

--I think we're going to learn a lot more about Ruth's new guy. He may not be a con man, but they may very well explore the possibility, and have folks on the show questioning his motives.

--There's going to be a Nate-Brenda-French Horn Guy triangle. Also, there's going to be a lot of "survivor guilt" with Nate as he tries to put the pieces back together. Poor Maya.

--I'm hoping that David and Keith either split up, or reconcile and move the hell on. I'm tired of watching them go to therapy.

--Rico's problems will get worse. There may even be a separation next season. He's going to have a morality crisis like Nate's.

--I'm not sure what will happen with Claire. That's likely to be her storyline--"What next?". Man, it sucks to be 19.

first...BEST.SHOW.EVER!

second...i (one of few) loved the lisa afterlife thing...why? cause i felt like it finally told me that yep she's dead...
i bet next season starts out with her funeral.

i also wonder if kathy bates will come back and find ruth married ....i always thought there was an underlying lesbo thing with her character and ruth.

i think poor rico(love this part of show) will be in a fatal attraction scenario....and his sis in law will find out.

brenda was more likable and can't wait to see what she does with nate....

i like the idea of james cromwell being a con man...hmmm.
interesting...

but one thing...if they bring back olivier...i will scream...
YUCK>>.he bores me to death!
