"Dawson's Creek"
Okay, so I know that there are people on the West Coast who are watching this, so don't come in here because I will spoil it. I just watched the series finale, and I must say I am VERY ANGRY!

I hate that Joey ended up with Pacey. Her soul mate was Dawson, always was! The show was called Dawson's Creek, not Pacey's Creek. They didn't even give him a women for Christ sake!

This is as bad, if not worse than when Dylan picked Kelly over Brenda on 90210.

I am counting on you guys to forbid me from getting into these shows again.

I just watched the finale. I haven't been watching DC for a few seasons now, but I have to say I was happy with the end (no offense T). I've always been on the Pacey-Joey bandwagon though.
Overall thought it was a good show. And yes, I cried when Jen was gone.

Oh I was so mad I forgot about that. I cried like a baby that she died. I knew it would be her, but I still cried from the moment she fainted.

I am very happy too, that Jack is raising Jen's baby and is happy.

Ding, dong...the Creek is dead!!!

I tried to watch the show periodically but could never get into it. They went from angsty high school to angsty college, in other words nowhere.

Dawson is the WORSE.ACTOR.EVER. I refer you to Varsity Blues. There should be a drinking game for when Joey mugs at the camera (chin down, eyes up). Pacey, who slept with a TEACHER in the first season, becomes a stockbroker??? I can not believe they dragged it out this long.

T, I was very disappointed too. I've been pretty much a Dawson/Joey girl except for the times I'm a Pacey/Joey girl. Yep, I'm wishywashy that way I really loved the Big K episode with P/J and if the writers wanted us to care about P/J together they wouldn't have had Eddie show back up and Joey to walk away from Pacey so easily. And that was just recently!
By the end of the episode last night I didn't care who she ended up with because they didn't give you any reason to care.

I did cry for an hour and a half over Jen though, but loved that the two hottest guys on the show wound up together And Jack's speech to Jen about soulmates was a major tearjerker.
An afterthought, was CJ the daddy to Jen's baby? Hmmmm, we'll never know.

So after watching last night, and hating it, I've decided to completly wipe it from my mind. Dawson's Creek now ended for me last week not this week, with Jen, Jack and Grandma moving to
to New York where CJ is already at. CJ and Jen marry and have a beautiful baby named Abby and they run a succesful company that gets needy people up and going. Grandma becomes a kicka$$ executive in the company after beating breast cancer. Jack meets a handsome, funny, nice NY model that gets him into the business and they fall in love and live happily everafter, babysitting Abby frequently. Pacey stays in Capeside and does open the restaraunt back up and he and Dawson do manage to patch things up, eventually Dawson talks him into opening a chain starting in LA. Dawson does write and produce The Creek and is totally happy and satified with his life. And Joey stayed in Paris, met a man and his best friend, fell in love with both and still doesn't know who to choose. But that's ok because neither speak English and couldn't understand all the big words anyway, there just happy to be sleeping with a cute American. And they lived happily ever after. The End.

That's my world and I'm happy living in it

All right, we're slowly weeding through the crap...

Dawson's? Check. Buffy? Check. Enterprise? On UPN so it's as good as dead.

Plus we only have one year left of Friends.

TV does get it right, sooner or later.

Now can someone explain how Still Standing is still airing?

I haven't watched Dawson's Creek for a couple years - but decided to watch last night. Yes, I cried about Jen and then the crying moved to yelling at the TV "I DON'T WANT JOEY TO BE WITH PACEY! SHE BELONGS WITH DAWSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

My husband thought I was nuts. Then I thought I was nuts for missing The Bachelor for watching a show where Joey ended up with Pacey!

I am happy that Pacey and Joey ended up together. Dawson and his gigantic forehead do not deserve to have a soulmate. Pacey was a true romantic who wanted Joey to be happy. Dawson wanted Joey, but he cared just as much that no one else have her either.

I wish that had given more exposition about Joey's choice though. I would have love to have seen the look on Pacey's face when she said that she wanted to be with him. Josh Jackson has the ability to really sell the character of Pacey when he wants to. The Beek (James Van Der Beek) just phones it in.

I have watched this show on and off so didn't really get realy deep into the characters. Also, I was flipping the channels last night so my big question is ... Who the heck was getting married? LOL I can't believe that in all my flipping, I never figured it out.

Yep I cried when Jen died (who wouldn't?). She's a cute girl.

I was surprised to see Joey and Pacey together at the end. I never really liked Pacey. Actually, I never really liked Joey (I think she has a funny looking face). Dawson of course has a huge head but there is something about him. I would have preferred to see Joey and Dawson together at the end (I guess two funny looking heads should be soul mates LOL).

How about that fight with Pacey? DH was sitting down at that time watching it and all I could say was what a wimp-ass way to fight. Bringing your buds along to hold the guy's arms while you beat him up. Yeah ... tough guy!!

Question 2: Why does Jack end up with the baby? Because he's the godfather? He's not the father right?

How Joey could possibly have picked Pacey over Dawson I will never know, then again she did give him her virginity and not to Dawson. All I know is she really should have just given all three
guys the boot, Pacey, Dawson and her NY guy. Joey throughout the series has never had much time without a guy and it should have ended with her realizing she needed time for just herself.

Loved the ending. Haven't really watched that much recently, but couldn't have taken it if the soulmates had ended up together. Thought there were a few good self-mocking moments, but basically fast forwarded to the ending.

BTW, LOVED when Dillon picked Kelly over Brenda!

The show overall was good. They did a bad job of explaining that this was 5 years later. It helped to know that before watching. I liked seeing how they all progressed. It seemed to be the "Jen show" though. (btw, Dawson's mom was the one who got married) Jen did the best job and had the best character development of all of them.

They all seemed to have matured a bit except for Jack and Pacey, they seemed the same. I also REALLY wanted to see Jack's sis come back or have some old characters that we hadn't seen in a while make a small cameo.

I do think that they kind of abruptly ended/fixed the J/P/D triangle (I thought the quote that the "triangle now becomes the square" was hilarious). They had seven seasons of turmoil and you got a quick fix in 5min. I think Jen wanted her to be with Dawson. It sorta felt like all three of them had an epiphany all at the same time and said, "o.k. we will turn off our feelings like a light switch now and be happy."

I wanted Dawson and Joey together b/c like Joey said, their love was "Pure and Innocent". Plus, Joey and Pacey always faught or Pacey would say something demeaning so that Joey would have to bring him back up. That got old after a while.

Always wanted Joey and Dawson to get together

Andie McPhee was supposed to be in the finale. The actress, Meredith Monroe, actually shot scenes, but they were left on the cutting room floor.

A key line of dialogue was also omitted. In the kitchen, after the food fight, Joey says that she loves Dawson in an innocent honest way (paraphrasing) and that she always will. Her next line is, "but I love you (Pacey) like a woman loves a man." The editors left this out to make the ending more of a surprise. I wish they had left it in, it would have made it easier to understand her choice.

Wow, that definitely would have helped resolve everything and but things in perspective. In the show, you never really got why Joey picked Pacey. I just got the idea that basically Dawson would always be there no matter what so go for Pacey(<--that is what I thought that justification was).

I missed that Andee wasn't on the show. She did play a big role for a couple of seasons.

Had really wished Andee was on the show too. That is silly of the producers to cut that...most of the people who still care to watch have been there since the beginning. That's why I liked the Felicity ending so much...they tied up a lot of loose ends.

Glad that I hadn't heard Joey in the kitchen. You know she wants to tell him more and you don't know what it is. I love surprises!

I liked the finale, but see what you mean about Pacey with Joey. But, Dawson is happy this way too! It was a sad finale, but i thought (and kind of hoped) the death would be a surprise and not one we could see coming since almost the beginning. Dont forget to catch Dawsons 10-12 on TBS!!

Oh my gosh, LadyT, we think alike! Yes i was so mad that Joey ended up with Pacey. She was supposed to be with Dawson. BUT i was even madder back in the early 90's when Dylan chose Kelly over Brenda! Oh geeze, that made me sooooo mad. LOL Just happy to see someone like myself

BTW, new to these boards, but i am a TV nut and a reality show nut so i belong here!
