katem 3315 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Car Show Celebrity" 04-03-03, 00:37 AM (EST) "Did Trenyce's mugshots hurt her in with the public?" Or did the audience really think she was worse than Ricky and Josh? IMHO I believe that her past came back to bite her in the ass. But will it bite her next week? Also, did anyone notice that Josh was near tears, when Ryan told him he was safe?   Top

Hehe, I certainly didn't vote for Trenyce....although I feel bad about voting for Rickey so many times and then Kim Locke, who I previously had been voting for, ended up in the bottom three....almost seems like my fault....next week I'll go back to voting for Kim, 'cause it's impossible to vote for Clay/Ruben. I was thinking exactly the same last night Katem. I thought Trenyce was one of the better ones on Tuesday night....wayyyy better than Rickey and Josh put together. Trenyce was definitely hurt by her past becoming public knowledge. I can't believe she ended up in the bottom three! I was completely shocked by this weeks bottom three whom I thought performed really well-- yes, even Carmen whom I thought had one of her best performances. "Questions from last episode" LAST EDITED ON 04-03-03 AT 02:22 PM (EST) In Singapore, we got the edited version of the show that squeezed the 2-hour show into 1 1/2 hours. It's pretty good actually coz the pace was much faster than the previous 2-hr broadcast. Of course the drawback of watching an edited version of the show is that I'd miss some parts of the show and never know what were actually edited out. I do have a couple of questions from last episode and I'd risk not sounding foolish by asking them here instead of starting a new thread (I actually wanted to start it after my post in the clown's thread but I posted it here by mistake). 1. Where was Kimberley Locke when they sang "Proud to Be An American"? 2. Who was the contestant in question when Simon said he should have been in the bottom three last episode? 3. Who do you think got the lowest number of votes last episode? Kathy O'Brien... The Sole Survivor! (I'd rather be delusional)   Top

Of course, we'll never know but my feeling was that IF there was a boot last night, it was going to be Trenyce. Kinda sad to think that no matter how well she does next week, she probably won't escape the bottom three with the carry-over and has a good chance at getting the ax! How in the hell does Rickey have a fan base? What are the demographics of this obviously sizeable group? I don't get it. Josh, no matter how poorly he peforms, is sticking around for a while. I still think the right person will win in the end.   Top

They were split among Corey, Charles, and Rickey...but guess who ALL of them are voting for now???? Also, on a couple of the more fanatical boards, there were huge bandwagon campaigns to vote Rickey in hopes of booting Josh... can you say BACKFIRE?   Top

I think it did completely influence the voters, as I think it should. Just what music needs...an ex-con hyped artist. The American Idol should be a role model for kids and Kelly Clarkson typified that. Not saying anyone has to be as sugar sweet as her, but a felony conviction isn't what being an American Idol is about. If she's going to have a singing career, unfortunately given her past, I don't think it's in this competition. So was Simon talking about Ricky or Josh when he said that someone else (guy) should be in the bottom three?   Top

You sure couldn't tell by looking at the guys. Josh was hanging his head in shame and Ricky was giggling like a schoolgirl. I think it was probably Josh. Not only did his performance suck, but his attitude did, too. Never let 'em see you sweat, Josh. I, personally, am tired of the quick stabbing pointy finger gestures he makes in his performance. He does all this herky-jerky stuff that looks really weird. I also noticed that Kim Locke was missing during yet another painful performance of THAT SONG. I think we've heard THAT SONG three times in the last two shows?? With all the patriotic anthems out there, why do they keep doing the same song over and over? This show was recrap in disguise.   Top

She doesn't even have a misdemeanor conviction. All she has is an arrest record. As I state in this news article, the system in her case worked exactly the way it is supposed to work. The court made a judgment that she was not a danger to society, and subsequent events seem to indicate that the court was right. Should that be a problem for her future career? I hope that the problem is the mug shot. I'd hate to believe that America now treats an arrest as equivalent to a conviction.   Top

It could be argued that she would make a good American Idol because of that situation. Here's a person who hasn't lived a 100% squeaky clean life, yet has worked to move past one mistake to try and make something of her life. It could be a lesson to kids who think that one mistake gets them labeled as a bad kid - straighten up your act, and there's still opportunities available for you. A Bebodacious American   Top

Considering pop stars like Marilyn Manson I think Trenyce's problems are pretty tame. Also the bottom 3 were female. Reality tv has many more female than male viewers. So females get booted early. This happened with the first Big Brother when the audience voted. The final 3 were all men. I actually thought Trenyce was the best this week.   Top
