The pants! The pants! Two of them had on the high-waisted, peg-legged pants (Asia'h and Carly) and I seem to recall them being MUCH cuter in the 1980s. Carly's jeans were much better than Asia'h's (?) lavender pants, but whoever is styling them needs to be shot. Or whoever is making the pants needs to be shot. It's hard to make a young girl with a good figure look terrible, but they succeeded with Asia'h's outfit tonight.

I fear they are. I've seen them a few places and the Fall 2007 collection http://fabsugar.com/134501 had that as a major trend. Hopefully it dies before it is all you can buy for Fall 2008. I'm long from neck to waist but short from waist to hip and all the high waisted stuff comes half way up my rib cage and I can't breathe.

Like Simon mentioned, she seemed to lack personality, and perhaps that's because she stood at the mic all song. Without the charisma on stage, she could be in trouble votewise.

I actually think she sounds like she's strained her voice. In the earlier parts of the competition, and Hollywood week, she sounded better. Even this week where the song choice was spot on, I think her voice sounded strained. I don't think it's a smoker's cough, but she's sounded sick or like she's suffering from serious voice strain for the past few weeks.

I think Brooke was the best of the night. When I listen to these kids sing, I don't just listen to whether they sing in tune or carry the song. I listen to the voice (i.e. do they have a voice that I would love to hear sing the phonebook?), and she's got it. She has a unique, pretty, moving voice, much like Jason Castro. They may not be the best technical singers in the competition, but they've got really nice voices when singing. I loved her performance!
