Doesn't it make sense to wait until we hear how Ryan explains the vote before deciding how to score it? in a perfect world, he'd clearly say who was the lowest (so #6) and next lowest (#5.) but idol ain't perfect, so i'm not holding my breath on that one.   Top

Ryan says something that clearly states who was lowest and who was second lowest, or he doesn't. Although if he doesn't you have some of the same issues. Even if we know who was lowest this week with the combined score, they are not out at different times, so do you could score them differently Do you count them as both #5? Or #5.5 That way everyone gets a point for not guessing the no boot week/double boot week. Do you call one #6 and one #5? Do you just do it based on whatever order they send them home during the show. (like two groups of three, then sends one home from group one, does a farewell, then one home from group two, does a farwell) Now he could say you were lowest last week and you didn't save yourself, so we know they'd be out #6 no matter when they are sent home #5. Now how they do it may effect any plans, but I'd like to know what emydi is thinking because I'm masochistic enough to fret about such things now. (and the way we'd do the elimination might effect if someone wants to change the list now or wait). It's a tribe creation!   Top

You can change your lists if you want. I will score them 6/5 if it is clear from Ryan who is the lower vote getter. If not, I will score the 2 bootees at 5 and 6 with whatever way it gives you a better score. I think this is the fairest way and everyone gets less points...if you think this is unfair well then let me know and I'll take any suggestions under consideration... Here's an example of how I will score with my lists... Say Phil and Lakisha go...and they don't tell us how they finished. Will GO (changed list) 1. Blake 2. Melinda 3. Jordin 4. Sanjaya 5. Chris R 6. Lakisha 0 CORRECT if at 6 or +1 if at 5 7. Gina 8. Phil +2 if at 6 or +3 if at 5 9. Haley In this case I would get +3 no matter what if it was Phil/Lakisha at 5/6 or 6/5 My Should go List 12. Haley 11. Sanjaya 10. Phil +4 9. Stephanie 8. Jordin 7. Gina 6. Chris R 5. Brandon 4. Chris S 3. Lakisha +2 2. Melinda 1. Blake But on my Should go list, I will get +6 and I will score Phil at 6 and Lakisha at 5, it I had PHil and Lakisha switched, I would score the other way.. If I scored Phil at 5 and Lakisha at 6 I would get +9 points. If you want, I can give you your example on your current lists until about 5:30 p.m. then I won't be back online until Thursday, after the deadline for changing lists...my laptop is officially dead and I'm out of the office all day tomorrow on an appt.   Top

Phil If you think Chris R and Lakisha go you would score +2 with Chris R at 6 and Lakisha at 5 (if Ryan doesn't make it clear) or score of +4 if it Ryan makes it clear that Lakisha is 6th and Chris is 5th In the list above you get +4 for changing but 1. Melinda 2. Blake 3. Jordin 4. Phil 5. Lakisha 6. Chris R you would not get any more pts. if Chris R and Lakisha go and it is not clear...if Ryan makes it clear that Lakisha is 6th and Chris is 5th, you would get +2 pts. for a total of +6 pts. if you change your list.   Top

I'm worried about my Phil at 9, which is prompting the change. If he goes this week I'm +3 or +4 with a +1 for Lakisha or Chris so then it is a wash on the change. So if he goes this week I'm looking at a big hit. I'm not sure if I'm comfortable putting him at 5 or 6 rather than 4, but he is a +1 or a +2 if he is at 4. I'm just not quite willing to bet that VFTW saves him this week. If he survives this week, I'd probably have to change next week anyway as he'd be +5 or better. So I'm looking at a +4 change hit before the finale anyway. Does that make sense. It is a toss up for me between putting him at 5 and putting him at 4, and if I'm going to move him up I think I'd rather put him at 4 than 5, just because I don't want to bet against VFTW looking at dial idol information. So I think I'm going to stay with the change, since I'm going to take that +4 hit this week or next week, and I want to lower the risk if Phil goes this week. It's a tribe creation!   Top
