"Group Auditions - Hollywood Week" |
This is an individual competition. I don't like the group audition part of this show. I know the judges are still looking at everyone as individuals but one's group could really mess it up for an individual. I don't think it's fair. What do you guys think?

I think having groups is useful for putting several people on the stage together and watching for which stand out. I don't think it should have the overwhelming effect that it did last year when all of the three guys who were in the 'cowboy' group got cut, apparently just for spite.

One of the purposes of Hollywood week is to put them under enough pressure to see who could still sing during the competition, IMO.The group thing adds a level of discomfort in addition to them having to sings songs they usually haven't prepared ahead of time. 
It's a tribe creation!
