"An important question"
One that i haven't seen discussed on here, or I missed it.

With Chris being voted out, one incredibly important question is "Where will Chris' votes go?"

I can't seem them going to Elliot, or to Katherine. I see Taylor getting a huge bump in votes, unless Chris' fans en masse do not vote anymore.

Thoughts?

1. "RE: An important question"
IMHO, I think the ones that will continue to vote will start voting for Elliott with a slimmer chance of Katharine. I do not believe they will go to Taylor for the fact that Taylor has such a huge fan base already plus the VFTW votes.

Siggy thanks to Syren!

As I said on PRE's thread, I see the votes going:

Elliott: 30%
Kat: 30%
Taylor: 10%
Not Voting: 30%

Taylor and Chris are not similar enough for Taylor to get any substantial boost from Chris' departure. Indeed, based on the anecdotal evidence from message boards, these two fanbases seem to be, for the most part, polar opposites. So maybe, maybe, 10% goes to Taylor.

Kat and Elliott both have fresher, more modern sounds similar to Chris. I think those Chris fans still voting will (after accounting for the small percentage who might vote for Taylor) split the vote.

7. "Chris fan here"
Count me as not voting. In fact, count my friends and family as not voting.

A large percentage of Chris fans, IMHO, will not be voting and perhaps not watching. Speaking for myself only, I don't care much at all about Kat or Elliott and I actively dislike Taylor. I'm not saying I won't watch AI next year, but, just like during AI3, I quit watching when I saw how shallow the talent pool was at the final 3. Not interested. I find out the winner from the boards. And then promptly forget all about it.

Oh, I'm not going anywhere.

Just won't be voting for people I don't want to hear. Or wasting time watching something I don't like.

But I still reserve my right to comment about it all I want. I do that all the time. Witness my DAW count.

Guess I'm one of the odd ones who will continue voting for Kat now that my other fave is gone. Although I could never get through for Chris last week and am tired of people telling me to stop whining.

On general principles I'll not watch it live and hope that tons of others will do the same. Hopefully we'll see a major hit on the number of viewers for tonight. I know it's wishful thinking but hey, we all need to have our hopes and dreams right?
