"May 6 theme"
According to an entertainment report on my local radio station (WRAL 101.5), next week's theme will be BeeGees music, with Robin Gibb as celebrity judge.

I'm already picturing Ruben singing "How Deep Is Your Love" (although I'd rather hear Clay sing it).

I think they're great too. They are a huge influence on modern music in front of the mic and behind the scenes. The Bee Gees could be tough to sing because they always sing in harmony (and often falsetto!).

I will do my best, but you have to remember - I had a "Disco Sucks" bumper sticker in the 70"s.....well of course every self respecting teenage male did.

This is interesting. I was noting last night the disparate vocal styles of the guys--where Kim and Trenyce sounded pretty good together, the guys didn't mesh at all. I don't think any of the remaining guys can pull off much of a falsetto, but I've heard 'Staying Alive' sung an octave down, so it can work. Who's going to sing 'I Started a Joke'? I know it but I don't know it well enough to know who it should go to. I'd lean towards Clay, though I want him staying up tempo at least for one song.

What will they sing for their second song? Or will they all have to do two Bee Gees songs?

Maybe it will be one BeeGees song and one 70's song, though that would be extremely redundant, considering the past Disco Night. I know there were more genres out there in the 70's than disco, but any that the AI kids would sing?

I love the BeeGee's, especially their earlier music, and look forward to next week. Would love to see Josh go out in a blaze of glory twanging "Staying Alive"

How sad is it that I could actually see him trying to pull that off? Ugh.

LOVE the Bee Gees - love 'em love 'em love 'em! Gotta say it's an odd choice considering their unusual vocal style, but we'll see...
