SouperStar 156 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Blistex Spokesperson" 03-23-05, 07:37 AM (EST) "REVOTE! New show Wed. Elimination Thurs." IMPORTANT PROGRAM NOTE CHANGE Due to an error with the graphics shown on-screen (incorrect voting numbers were displayed) during the performance recap at the end of last night’s AMERICAN IDOL, a live, one-hour show will air tonight, Wednesday, March 23 9/8c on FOX, to enable a re-vote. This new show will combine new live elements with encores of Tuesday’s performances from the remaining 11 contestants. Phone lines will open at the conclusion of tonight's show and will remain open for two hours to give viewers the chance to vote for their favorite contestants and keep them in the competition. Only the voting results from tonight’s show will determine who received the lowest number of votes and will be sent home this week. Tune in to see who America has chosen to stay and who is sent home on the live results show tomorrow, Thursday, March 24 9/8c live on FOX. "RE: But?" >combine new live elements with encores of Tuesday’s performances from the remaining 11 contestants. It's very ambiguous, isn't it? I think "encore" means to sing again, but an "encore of Tuesday's performances" and the fact that they stipulated other stuff would be "live" leads me to believe that it is an encore "showing" of Tuesday night. It wouldn't be fair to the good performers to give them another chance, because the crappy performers would have the benefit of last night's feedback from the judges. The world is my litterbox.   Top

Phone numbers that allowed viewers to pick their favorite contestant were incorrectly displayed during Tuesday's show, prompting a re-vote during the show scheduled to air Wednesday, the network said in a statement. Phone lines will remain open for two hours following the episode, when another singer will be booted off this week by viewers. The contestant with the fewest votes goes home. In the running are Bo Bice, Anthony Fedorov, Constantine Maroulis, Anwar Robinson, Scott Savol, Nikko Smith, Mikalah Gordon, Jessica Sierra, Vonzell Solomon, Nadia Turner and Carrie Underwood. I loaded up my taping of the show, and at the end in teh 'recap', they correctly displayed the numbers for the for 8, then for Mikalah, Anwar and Jessica, they had teh wrong numbers. it was '01' at the end for Mikalah, '02' and '03' for Anwar and Jessica, when it should have been '09','10','11'. which means Carrie potentially got some extra votes for the Mikalah fans....., etc geekboy   Top

Well I actually voted last nite as I was watching the show on Tivo at the 10 pm EST hour and started to vote as they sang...I know I was right and I never even saw the mistake...but I never watch the recrap on Tivo... I voted for Scott, Anwar and Nikko multiple times and got thru on Scott and Nikko every time and Anwar was busy sometimes. I tried to vote for Jessica around 10:45 pm and it was still busy.. I guess I'll have to vote tonite again.. I really liked these four and Anthony too (I love that song and he wasn't horrible) but I just can't vote for him.. he has enough teenyboppers anyway. I just don't want Mikalah to get through bc she was in the bottom 2 last week and her fan(s) will go crazy...I didn't want a better singer to go so I voted for the ones I thought needed it and bc they were good. Scott did a great rendition of Against All Odds and its one of my faves. Nikko was hot... Thank god for redial   Top
