I really felt for him when he made this comment in the limo as he was leaving. It is crazy that he was going to propose for the first time to a woman who, it turns out, didn't want him. I can only imagine how devastated he must have felt. In one night, he's faced with the knowledge that the one he loves doesn't love him back and that she's in love with someone else.Shame on Meredith for misleading Matt by saying she would be honoured if it ended with a ring. He took what she said as a cue that he was the one she would pick, which led him to put his guard down even further. Matt wondered if he had been a fool. He was a fool to first, agree to be on the show; and second, forget that he was on a show and let his guard down. Reality shows are not for the "true at heart".

I am sure Matt is happy he wasn't picked now. Sitting at home watching the show and how she behaved on the other dates with the other men. Would he really want her for a wife? It showed Fredo on "Average Joe" that he didn't want Larissa. It is one thing to think she is dating someone else. But to actually watch her making out with other men...
