Thanks Lolette for posting all those links,I have become more informed as a result.And you helped clear up another one of my queries on another thread as to Mary`s background-I thought she was Argentine,and some other poster corrected me but I was adament. Now I am certain I was wrong! She is originally from Cuba not Argentina!.Thanks again Lolette.

I saw these two on ESPN2 of all places on "The New American Sportsman". I only saw a couple of minutes of it, but Byron was doing his thing (fishin') and Mary was along for the ride. She looked like she enjoyed his company, but not so much the fishing part. They're still together, and I'm happy to see that.No horses were harmed in the creation of this post.

I'm sorry this reply is so late. I must have missed it.I only caught a couple of minutes of Byron & Mary and I didn't hear any discussion of language issues. I don't know how long it's going to last. No horses were harmed in the creation of this post.

They obviously knew they would be zoomed in on as part of the crowd and end up on TV and in gossip columns..Do you onestly believe their relationship will last the distance MTW1961 ? What do others out there think ?

Yes, everything always looks rosy on camera. Honestly, I have no idea whether they will go the distance, but I do think seeing them at a King's game was a positive sign, and I think there is more hope for them than other Bachelor couples and here's why:King's game - unlike many events, this was not likely a media opportunity as it was only televised locally. They looked like just an ordinary couple taking in a game. I had seen some commercials promoting a bass fishing tournament in the area, so Byron might have been in town for that event. This tells me their relationship is still going pretty well so far. Second, I think an older bachelor/bachelorette are more likely to have the common goals of settling down to start a family without worrying so much about all the distracting "find my soulmate" kind of garbage. I think I'll start a new thread on my thoughts about that topic. Anyone else have any thoughts about Byron and Mary? What do you think, concise10?

Well I hear what you say MTW1961,but I have my reservations about Mary.I only saw her on the batchelor with Bob and felt that she fell head over heels way too soon.The shower scene was a total "I want attention" and for all the wrong embarrasing reasons by Mary,if you know what I mean.Probably true what you say about Older batchelor/ette contestants,and maybe this time it will work for Mary.
Perhaps she`s learnt from past mistakes..time will be the only show of that I believe. Perhaps I am jaded,I really don`t know.However I will afford her a chance since it sounds she is so happy with Byron..

Furthermore MTW1961 Ian and Meredith are another well known example of the break up,phoney reality Tv relationship that didn`t last! So I really don`t hold great hopes for Mary and her latest great lover Byron.
