"Last week's episode was a remake of Othello"
Something occurred to me late last night as I was giving my baby his midnight feeding and all type of stramge things enter my head. Last week's episode of Survivor was much like Shakespeare's Othello. In Othello, Othello is great and powerful man that loves and is loved by the beautiful Desdemonia. However, the evil Iago plants a false idea in Othello's head - that Desdemonia has been unfaithful to him. This eventually leads to the death of Desdemonia and the fall of Othello.

Last week, we had Brandon putting the false idea into Lex's head that the beautiful Kelly had betrayed him (and considered herself a free agent). This leads to the the death of Kelly (at least for purposes of the game) and I believe will shortly lead to the fall of Lex and Boran.

Does this make sense, or does it sound like the ramblings of a blurry eyed new father?

Esquire--
What a great call! You are so right, that when I saw this on Spoilers I pulled out my Othello and found some great passages.
If you post this on Bashers I'll add my Survivor adaptation of the speeches (it's not a Spoiler, and it's not really nice enough for Fanatics.)

It's true Kelly doesn't love Lex but the important dynamics are all there... if only Kelly had lost one of her crocheted hand towels it could easily stand in as the fatal handkerchief!

With every mistake, we must surely be learning--George Harrison

*** Totally makes sense!!! Hey, in all seriousness, sometimes great ideas come to people when they're still half asleep! That's why some people say you should have a pad and pen next to you on the nightstand while you sleep! I always come up with "brilliant" (LOL!) ideas at 2 AM! But really, your "Othello" comparison is cool!
