I had looked forward to this week’s show as a great opportunity to do some serious torch snuffing, but Nnnnnoooooooo, snewser and shakes just had to be dead on perfect this week, and early enough with their spoilers that pretty much everybody had near identical entries. The sole excitement came down to whether you would include Pappy on your list or not. We lost one player, GuessItRains, and that’s only because he/she forgot to make an entry. BAH! HUMBUG! <<* LionChow throws his wooden torch snuffer at the vote jar in a little hissy fit *>> Out of our original 53 contestants, we have 24 people going into the finale. Given the potential for twists and turns on Sunday, this game is still totally up in the air. Those of you trailing behind need to keep in mind that you can only win this game if you make it through all 15 Tribal Councils, so you are still alive. Just bear in mind that you may have to take some real chances with these last picks to steal the prize away from the savvy LisaPooh. Since this is the last episode, it’s entirely possible that the way one person makes their selections affects the way others may want to vote. Therefore, I will allow “Secret Ballots” for this episode only (if you so choose). To do this, you must email me, or use the PM function on this post. I also want you to make a regular post here telling me that you have sent your picks in, and by what method, so I know to look for it. I will send acknowledgement back to you. PLEASE DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST HOUR! How to make your entry for the finale Think of Episode 13 as three separate shows, one for each Tribal Council. Your post, therefore, needs to contain three separate sections. Here’s how: Section 1) For the first TC, you must name two of the Survivors that reach the final three to move on in the game. Votes against are calculated the same as always. There will be no Reward/Challenge teams from here on. Section 2) For the second TC, you must name one of the Survivors that reach the final two to move on in the game. If you happen to name the immunity winner, you get no votes against, but if you name the Survivor that is selected by the immunity winner to advance, you will pick up one vote against. Section 3) For the Final TC Vote, you must name the million dollar winner! As an example, here is Sittem’s winning entry from S3:

I know it’s really simple, but some people got it wrong last season. Our last look at the weekly winners and losers shows that it was a logjam up top with 13 different people who I won’t list with a +5 (perfect scores by the way). This week’s bottom dweller was our only bootee, GuessItRains at -7. Meanwhile, good old EchoGirl (that was meant to be affectionate, not a wisecrack) showed some fine form with a -6 and rwj3eb was also down there at -4. The Big Board is basically the same. Staying on top was LisaPooh (64), who keeps a four point cushion over second place, DRich61 (60). Falling one point further back was I_AM_HE (59). just wanna say thanx for the game, i enjoy it alot, i plan to thank u in my "final words", but then i m afraid i will forget, so better do it now.its more difficult and more fun than any other spoiler game, i used to vote in yahoo, but i forgot to "pick'em" for one week and i quitted afterthen, so this is the only "contest" i m in.

Am I correct in assuming that there is no change for point values for "safe" picks? For example: Hypothetical pick: K/P, K, K At the first TC, K and P advance without picking up a vote. Our Hypothetical Picker would net +2 points. Correct? At the second TC, K wins immunity and advances. Good ol' Hypo Picker nets another +1. Yes? In the final TC, K wins the jury vote. Hypo nets yet another +1. Right? So in the end, a perfect score for Sunday's finale would be +4. Did I execute that difficult math properly?  OK, now it gets trickier... What happens in the unlikely event of a tie vote decided by the existing jury? Example: Our boy (or girl if you prefer) Hypo has the same picks: K/P, K, K At the first TC, K and V vote P, and N and P vote V. We haven't had a tie vote yet this season, but know that the prior votes rule from Survivors past will not be used for S4. It has been speculated that perhaps the jury (which will consist of 5 people by that TC) will vote to break the tie. The meat of my question is would votes cast by players out of the game count as votes against a "safe" pick? In other words, supposing P survives the deadlock, but picks up 2 additional votes from jury members no longer in the game, would the picker receive negative points for them? I would gather that such "votes" would not count as they would constitute a "new wrinkle" to the game that, although speculated about, hasn't been practiced or even confirmed as an actual Survivor rule. Likewise, if a tie brought another unforeseen tie-breaker, it would not count against us in our ignorance. Sorry to hurt your brain on a Friday.  Fester

Ah, the new found power of being a Network TV Guest Star! I'd like to thank Jesus for helping me reach this new level.Ok Fester, you have scenario 1 down perfect:
You'd only collect four measley points. The way I look at it is that the leaders have earned their high spot, and the advantages that it gives them this late in the game. However, they still have to make the right picks all the way through or they get nothing. It's kind of like the Cleveland Indians winning another divisional title. It's nice, but it doesn't guarantee them a World Series title, ever. (This should smoke out any Indians fans in the crowd)
Moving to scenario 2:
Hypo is sitting there with K/N as his picks, and the vote goes 2 for Vee and 2 for Nelly. If Nelly loses the tiebreaker, he is out of the game. If Nelly wins the tiebreaker, then Hypo is still alive, scoring a -4 for that round (+2-6). No outside votes count, nor do any revotes. I only look at what happens the first time Jiffy pulls the votes out of his ice bucket.

That is what I did in PTTE, and that knocked me out of second place there. So I will go with something much more logical here. Of course there is much more than one way this can go tonight, but here goes:

I was at the emergency room with my 6 year old from 5PM until 1AM last night (everything turned out fine with my little lady), and I am running way behind schedule.
