"RealPlayer is Evil: How can I watch the CBS audition tapes?"
Ok, So I really want to watch the survivor audition videos on CBS.com. They won't work for me and I finally figured out that it's because they are frigging real media files. I refuse to have any form of realplayer on my computer as it is an evil spyware company. So there MUST be some way that I can convert the files - or there MUST be some form of media player NOT owned by an evil company that will play them for me. Right? With all the computer geeks and hackers in the world, somebody must know how to watch the Survivor audition tapes!!!

Please help me!
Is there a way?

If you're using WIn2K you are already using software from an evil company ... the most evil as a matter of fact ... and I expect you have windows media player someplace on that machine. Do a search for wmplayer.exe

And if you don't have it you can get it free from the Evil Empire in Redmond (microsoft.com)

Your only other real choice if you won't use Real is QuickTime which runs nicely on windows. I know there is a utility out there that will convert files to a QuickTime readable format but I don't know what it is. You might check with George Tirebiter, a Mac user.

Happy to use Real on Unix
