"I may need backup" I don't know what's going on with my DTV, but I may need a backup for the summary, just in case, next week. I recorded TAR last night, while watching it. About halfway through I got a call that I needed to take. Rather than pause I let the show continue to run. When I was finished with the call (about 15 minutes into Cold Case, which was not being recorded), I went to watch the rest of TAR. The list showed that it had recorded a full hour, just as it should have. But, when I played back the recording, it ran only until they got to the first airport - well before the point that I'd taken the call - and switched, on the recording, to Cold Case in real time. No more TAR. WTH? Simultaneously with TAR I was recording the 2-hr. EHM. When I went to watch those, the first hour recorded just fine. The second hour cut off after 12 minutes. Again, WTH? Nothing else was set to record during these time slots, and I wasn't trying at any point to watch a third show. I have no clue what happened or why I lost these recordings. It has never happened before, but it makes me fear what will happen if it does it again next week. If it does, my summary is screwed (scrod?). If anyone is willing to wait in the wings just in case disaster strikes twice I would appreciate it. Thanks. (Oh, and if anyone can explain what happened, and why, I'd appreciate that, too.)   Top
