The good news is that TAR has been renewed for another season in the fall. The bad news is that it's moving time slots - again. This time it will be on Sundays at 8, at least until it moves again. For now, you can read more at the futon critic, but I'm sure it will be out elsewhere shortly.I'm not fond of the slot, but it's better than the 10 PM time periods. Discuss. I'm realitybites and I approved this post.

This means that it'll be against NBC Sunday night football and will rarely start at the same time because "60 minutes will be seen in its entirety" after the CBS afternoon double-header game. It could be difficult for ratings but 60 minutes is a good lead-in.

I think this time slot is mostly a good thing. TAR is a family-friendly show, so an 8 PM slot is more appropriate than 10 PM, and the competition on Sunday nights is weaker than weeknights as long as TAR avoids going up against ABC's Desperate Housewives. If they keep it in the same slot, and have 60 Minutes as a lead-in, the ratings should be fine.

For those of us who tape the show for later viewing (after the kids go to bed, in my case), we will have to be diligent about taping an extra hour to leave room for the inevitable football delays.I don't know how Tivo works -- if a show is scheduled at 8:00, but actually doesn't start until 8:42 because of football, would Tivo make the adjustment? After TAR3 and again after TAR 4, there was some question whether we would ever see TAR again. I am happy we are talking about TAR10 and only worried about the timeslot. I am also happy it is not a family edition.

no tivo works on time...when the tivo downloads the schedule via the telephone lines, it would put TAR in at 8pm on Sunday...that's why you have to go back and add some additional time to taping in case of the inevitable football delays.And I guess it will end a week earlier than Survivor 13 for that finale to be on Sundays per the norm. I'm not sure how 8pm Sunday's will work out for TAR..this year West Wing moved there and it's gone now..but it was on way out anyway (although this year had great shows) Of course, I will have to tivo TAR bc the Steelers have several sunday nite games...WOO HOO!!
