Natalie : It's the three of us til the end. Promise you. Probst: But someone will return from Redemption Island... Mike : Three will fall, one will remain. Probst: ...and it puts everybody in jeopardy. Rob : It's pretty big stakes. Phillip: All good things must come to an end. Probst: Sunday, May 15th. So, the preview looks like Natalie will choose to stay faithful to Ashley...she notes to Ash, "I promise"....while we see them together glancing at each other at the duel. Is it Ashley's plan to align with the RI returnee and take out Rob? We hear Jiffy say..."it puts everybody in jeopardy, and then there is a shot of Rob, who confirms the stakes. Then Phillip notes that "all good things come to an end", implying that Rob has been in control for the whole game, and now it's ending for him, short of the final 3.... This is the misdirection this week. Rob is the boot decoy. Because, he has the HII. He is finally going to play it, IF, he's vulnerable, bouncing another. Possible foreshadowing for Mike...three will fall, one will remain. He'll fall. I agree, Matt has been marked for the F3 from his first early confessional. He's on the journey, he'll get there and fall short, imo. Rob has made it, he's landed in the final 4 with 2 lazy spa girls and a goat....we'll see   Top

It might be two of the F3 linked together, while Rob who brought them together is in the shadows, fallen out of it. I wonder if this occurs after Ashley is gone, and Matt is still in it, just not hanging with them. I think it is likely enough that Ashley will get bounced by the idol. Rob received a very strong edit for fan favorite tonight. If he wins the game, he does not need an extra 100K; if he loses, they will want him to have it.   Top

There is that but there was also this at the start of episode #4 and what I wrote about it: Natalie: “This morning, while everybody was trying to sleep, Phillip was up at the crack of dawn, sweeping. He’s just a pain in the butt. He is so annoying and he’s so weird. This confessional seemed very important to me. Normally, we would have gone to Zapatera after the first commercial break, to see the aftermath of their history-making decision but we had to get a character story on Ometepe instead. That is very enlightening editing manipulation. Natalie’s confessional, coming immediately after the repeat of her original comment where she said that Rob was amazin... I felt that Natalie just told us who would be there with her all the way to the end: Rob, who says he wants to drag her there, and Phillip whom she will have to endure all the way!   Top

Phillip has said that he has a plan to beat Rob in the F3, so I guess they're playing off that. Here's what Jeff says in his blog: "If Phillip wins, it means that we will have witnessed one of the most amazing final episodes in the history of our show. The only way he wins is if he reveals that his “former federal agent” and everything that came with it was all a big con."   Top

When asked why it wasn't vetted before the show filmed, Probst responded that all Phillip could furnish were documents that could have been created at Kinko's, hence the question mark. Apparently, Phillip stands by his assertion that he is a former federal agent and has said he will prove it at the Reunion.   Top

Will the jury be a bunch of bitter bitches intent on punishing the most deserving and rewarding the least offensive? It certainly wouldn’t be the first time. Jury management- it’s the most critical element to this game. Not only do you have to get to the end, which almost always requires betraying someone (before they betray you) but then you have to convince those same people you betrayed to vote for you for the million dollars. It hurts my head. I hope the jury rewards the best player, we’re due for a decent winner. Here’s my take on deserving/undeserving. Funny, that in his take on the remaining daws, he highlights Rob as the most deserving...   Top

I am pulling for the challenge beast to pull off his most important challenge yet, but don't have much hope based on his edit. Would they blatantly give us the F3 in the promo? I'm skeptical. Could it be Phillip and Nat burying the hatchet the night after Grant was blindsided? (Ashley out of photo) Or could the RI returnee be in the other part of the shelter since Rob already said he doesn't want to be sleeping with them? I'm not sure, but is that a red carnation here? Does anyone recall if that came with Ashley's room service? Need to to rewatch -- they're using mostly old caps in these previews so it wouldn't surprise me if it's from room service....but if this is indeed a new vidcap, might be the morning of last breakfast. "Remaining Challenges" Per the Call Sheets, here are the remaining challenges: Last RI Duel: "A Leg Up" Since the RI duels are all recycled challenges, I've been trying to go back in the Survivor archives and figure out which one this is -- no luck yet, any ideas? I'm hoping it will be an endurance challenge or something epic vs. the lame ones we've been getting. F5 IC (with returnee): "A Numbers Game" F4 IC: "Meso Maze" Sounds like a large maze along the lines of what Jenna Morasco won vs. an endurance challenge. This would seem to be a plus for Rob vs. the spa girls who might do well in an endurance challenge. Then again anyone can win a maze if it's not too physical.   Top

Jeff Probst asked the three challengers as he explained the final Immunity Challenge. With a hand on a wooden idol and their feet on stumps, the group had to hold their positions without moving their hands or feet. The last person standing would win. After two hours and 26 minutes, Ethan lost his balance and fell out of the challenge. As Kim and Lex struggled to keep their positions, the sun rose higher and higher. When the temperature hit 104 degrees Fahrenheit, Lex's stomach problems got the best of him. He couldn't hold on any longer, and stumbled to the ground after three hours and 21 minutes, leaving Kim Johnson to claim Immunity for the second and last time. ---------------------- Also the same chal was used in S4 Marquesas This last Immunity Challenge comes down to the balance and endurance of the three girls. The old Survivor "stand on the pole and the last one left standing wins" deal. After a few hours, Kathy ends up falling when Neleh kindly (yeah, right!) distracts her by pointing out that her boobs are showing. Vecepia makes a deal with Neleh to step down if Neleh takes her to the finals. They agree, Kathy pulls the knife out of her back, and Neleh gets Immunity. ---------------------- Edit to add S4 info   Top

In Borneo they had to step off their posts every so often and move around the pole while keeping their hands on it, and step up onto a post again, so it doesn't quite fit the leg up description. Africa and Marquesas, though, seem really on target.   Top

The promos all ask, 1. can Rob finally win it all, 2- will the girls take him out, or 3 - can Phillip pull off the surprise of the century...There is only one mention about someone returning from RI...3 will fall, one will return. It is only mentioned in the preview prome...that's it...makes me think that the RI returnee is a non-factor. The greater questions lie within the final 4 Ometepe's. Rob, the 2 girls, or Phillip. Interesting indeed! Well, we know that the two girls want Rob in the finals. Natalie is getting dragged to the finals on Rob's back (Move over Amber and Lucia She has been Rob's main alliance in the entire show, she wants to go with Rob. Ashley. She informed us in the Insider Clips that she is planning on getting to the finals with Rob. She thinks Rob will make a fine goat, and the jury will be partial to her, because she's never played the game before. Phillip. He is fine with Rob getting to the finals, because he has a strategy that can not be beat and he is confident that he can beat Rob. So, everyone that they mention remaining in the game is good with Rob getting to the finals...leaves me to believe that Rob will get to the F3.   Top

At the end of each corridor would be a rung to a ladder for each Survivor. The first All-Star to assemble all eight of their rungs, thereby constructing a ladder on a tower, would then get to climb it and claim Immunity. The Challenge started off in a flurry as the Final Four Chaboga Mogo tribemates hurried into the labyrinth with purpose... It was dead even at five rungs each when Boston Rob became confused in the maze and fell behind...With his final rung in hand, Rupert ran toward the tower just in time to see Amber emerge at the top of her newly constructed ladder to claim the essential victory. Amber Brkich would live to see another day! So, going back to a labyrinth means the challenge wasn't entirely made for him. Will Ashley and Nat make the bold move and vote him out or will the Phillip, the craziest Survivor ever win it all? This is clearly the hype for the first tribal council that we will see on Sunday. My answer to this is that Rob will not be going anywhere -- even if/when the R.I. winner joins them, Rob will not leave. His worst case scenario for the first Tribal Council is that he has to play his HII. It would be a no brainer for the four remaining Ometepes to vote out the R.I. Winner IF that player doesn't have immunity. If he/she has immunity, than Rob can play his idol and I predict (and I've been wrong many times before) he and Phillip will vote out Ashley. The second Tribal Council will be trickier, but I am assuming that that is when the final four will participate in the Meso Maze. This favors Rob. If Rob wins immunity, I think the three remaining Ometepes will stick together and vote out the R.I. returnee, leaving Rob, Phillip and Natalie as our F-3.   Top
