Anti and TDT both seem to believe that Blackwhale is a fairly credible source. Blackwhale has already provided quite a bit of information, without reference to any specific boot order. "RE: Summary as of 1/17" LAST EDITED ON 01-18-11 AT 05:28 PM (EST) Yes, and we can carry that further to conclude that Steve is the first redeemed, but that he does not make it to the second redemption, which is a female at F5. A female coming back at F5 means that males voted out prior to the F5 do not return to the game. If Natalie is one of the "last two females standing", she is either the redeemed female or one of the other F5. Futhermore, we can conclude that anyone besides Steve voted out before the merge will not make it back into the game and not make the jury. Krautboy   Top

Matt = Fabio 2.0 Grant = Aras 2.0 Andrea = Danni 2.0? (she can do Survival stuff) Jeff's wet dream would have to be that Russell makes it at RI long enough for Rob to show up and for them to duel, and Rob beats Russell. Ashley and Natalie also have nothing in the wording to rule them out as Final 3. Neither does Krista, although surviving Russell leaves her a long stretch of unknown to get to F3.   Top

Just went over to Sucks to read the BW thread for myself and noticed there's a new poster named Hildy who says that Andrea makes Family Visit. Anti hasn't locked the thread and TDT is referencing it too, so sounds legit. KB, I agree, it's very interesting that there are 3 players that BW hasn't commented on yet. Georjanna posted in another thread today that now that the lawsuit is over, Missyae will be giving an interview to Andy at Reality Blurred on Monday, and Missyae also posted "countdown to REAL spoilers" and "Oh just wait, BW has some splain' to do." Not sure if the reference to BW having some explaining to do is directly tied to S22 spoilers, but sounds like we need to stay tuned. It wouldn't be the first time Missyae has corrected/contradicted BW's spoilers.   Top

The timetable suggests that Missyae may be taking the Blackwhale posts and repackaging them...or both Blackwhale and Missyae get their information at about the same time. January 10th Blackwhale: “Stephanie Valencia = Marisa Calihan? That may be so. Not quite sure if its Ometepe or Zapatera that goes to tribal council first, but when Zapatera goes, look for Stephanie to go quick. She and Russell clash” January 30th. Samoa was Troll's first time and nobody knew what he was like then, so Marisa's error is somewhat understandable, but Stephanie presumably has seen Troll in action, so she should know better.   Top

So this appears to be another indication that Zapatera loses the 1st IC and goes to TC 1st. P.S. Here are Jeff's exact words from the cast assessment transcript: "Stephanie Valencia, if I'm right, will be one of the first people voted out, if not the first."   Top

January 10th Blackwhale: “Stephanie Valencia = Marisa Calihan? That may be so. Not quite sure if its Ometepe or Zapatera that goes to tribal council first, but when Zapatera goes, look for Stephanie to go quick. She and Russell clash” Missyae's posts for this season have been mainly confirmations of others information and it's not clear if Missyae really has any access to sourced spoilers anymore. "New Blackwhale Info Feb. 6 " Here's the latest BW post on 2/6: "I have read that there have been foreign versions that have done their own versions of redemption island in the past. Looks like it's been pretty epic in some of those - apparently a first boot won them all and found themselves a spot in the final 2? "(RI) Won't be as epic in S22. No major winning streaks. Those who return are voted off not long before the reentry point, win 1 or 2, and are back. "I hear that Rob makes final 5 but per the call sheets, there are two final fives, so he could ultimately finish at 6th place. Looks like he's going to fall at plus or minus 1 day of the 114 day record set by Parvati. He might go as high as 4th place. I have reason to believe he goes out when 5 are left though. "Look for 8th place to be either Matt or Mike. "I haven't yet mentioned Andrea or Grant because I haven't heard too much. I know the Andrea family visit info is out there and from what I hear, it's probably true, but I'll let hildy's info stand on its own until I can get some better info independently. I like getting cryptic clues, but don't some of these latest clues seem a bit odd? E.g., Matt or Mike in 8th place. They're on different teams and don't look at all alike, so why the indecision? Is it because of RI and the whole returnee thing? Just makes me a bit leery of the accuracy overall and reminds me of the goofup last time. I tend to agree with FloPo that we shouldn't take everything BW says at face value, especially as BW himself seems to be hedging his bets on much of the recent info. Would love to be able to ask BW if it's because of RI.   Top

Those who return are voted off not long before the reentry point, win 1 or 2, and are back." (He says two return, one female, one male, which contradicts what Jeff and Mark say). I suppose that Francesca could win two duels, go out in Ep 5, and technically be in the later half of the pre-merge. But BW has identified the following as out early -- Stephanie, Ralph, Kristina, Phillip. To be OUT later than them, Francesca would have to beat them all in duels and last until Ep 7 at minimum. Maybe she will ... In any event, BW has been very sloppy, making no distinguishment between between being voted out and losing the duel when it comes to his placement discussions. By sloppy, I mean sloppy by not making it clear that if he knows or doesn't know which it is. Without a distinction, all his placement assessments are worthless.   Top

With 18 players they almost have to have a two-boot cycle, preferably with both pre-merge tribes going to TC in the same cycle. But if someone returns to the game from RI pre-merge the most logical place for that to happen would be immediately after the dual TCs, leaving the dual boots to duel each other to remain on RI. But then they almost need a two-boot cycle again. But what is good for the game (challenging twist) conflicts with what is good for the television production (drama). The best places for production to return a player to the game are at reshuffled tribes, the merge, and late in game after Pagonging. One factor to consider, when RI has run its course and can no longer be a consideration, this is a virtual two-boot cycle. Two players on RI duel, one goes out, one returns to the game, the cycle ends with TC where booted player is automatically out of the game.   Top

The way I was taught, when you don't know, you make it clear that you don't know. You state that it may be this or that, which gives people a way to avoid being sandbagged when you are wrong. Like with Francesca, if you don't know what later half of pre-merge refers to, the vote or the boot, then say so. Don't say it so that people who read you take Francesca off the table for first boot because there are four other players listed as very early or maybe first. Like one of his spoilers is Matt or Mike at F8. Then someone else says, oh maybe it was told as "hunky guy." Then he says, yes, that's about what I heard. So he didn't get a name at all. Then he should say so. I hate it when a spoiler alters the source spoiler by incorporating his/her own conclusions without saying so. As an example, when I went to the Cooks, I talked to someone a little about the Aitu reward. He mentioned the Jamaican girl. I was quite sure logically that it was Sundra, but I didn't post that Sundra was at the reward, because that's not what I was told for sure. I said Jamaican girl. That allowed other people to work on who it could be. blackwhale royally screwed up that pole-sitting immunity by saying Parvati won. He never said he didn't know this as an absolute fact, so we never looked at Danielle. This is how his spoilers bug me. If you don't know, SAY SO.   Top

Like I said, I'm not trying to defend him I'm only willing to cut him a little slack this time because of RI -- it is possible he got info re: Francesca going "later half of pre-merge"(or whatever his exact words are) without getting any info about her also being first to RI. It is possible that she comes back in & then gets booted again so he could be 1/2 right about her. {shrugs} I just think RI is going to screw spoiling up big time. eta: I'm also thinking the "first boot" spoilers may be based on who shows up at Loser's Lounge first. For example, if Stephanie gets booted next time, loses to Francesca on RI, Stephanie would be the first person showing up at Loser's Lounge. Hence, the spoilers having her as the "first boot." So, like I said -- RI has the potential to be messing up the spoilers.   Top

I think he liked the whales they used as beauty shots. I agree, his source is crap for this season. At least partially crap if not pure.
