"Ep. 4 Immunity Challenge Speculation" |
It's been speculated by very reputable Spoilers that this week there will be a "twist" in the game. That this twist will involve the Motos having to choose either a. Give up the Luxury camp or b. Boot a tribe member. If the Motos do indeed win the Immunity Challenge this week, then why must they be forced to choose between bad and bad? What consequences will Ravu have for losing the Immunity Challenge? One nation, under Romber...

I think BR is right...the winners get the choice and it makes it all the more interestingIf Ravu would win they def would change to Moto and Moto would go to TC...MOTO doesn't want to give up HAVES advantage and can afford (and the guys DRE BOO ALEX EDGARDO) would rather lose another person (even after Gary quits) and not all the STUFF. As Moto does win and decides to go to TC, RAVU just gets the benefit of no TC but they lose the MOTO camp as consequence of losing IC. That's pretty big for Ravu right now But Scar, where does it say that Ravu the loser needs to have any consequences...remember it's Survivor!

It still does not make sense to me, Mistress!Lose the Immunity Challenge and you DO NOT go to Tribal Council and send some one home? Maybe ... we should look at it this way ... Gary's condition worsens ... Medical team is called in again ... Gary is removed from the island. Therefore, No Loser at the Immunity Challenge. Instead of playing the IC for a Tribal Council session, they play for the rights to trade camps ... both tribes think they are playing for Camp "Ralph Lauren" ... when MOTO wins the IC ... Jiffy throws in the option ... "Trade camps OR send somebody home ..." One nation, under Romber...

LAST EDITED ON 02-23-07 AT 03:52 PM (EST)Probably there was supposed to be a double boot this week, which got derailed when Gary quit. I think the particulars would have been more or less the same -- the winning tribe would have been essentially awarded the luxury camp but would have had to go to TC, as would the losing tribe. After Gary quit they had to tweak the situation so only one tribe would go to TC, but they wanted the possibility of the tribes switching camps to be in the mix. So they decided that the luxury camp would come at the price of going to TC and the other tribe would be exempt. It's not the challenge loss that determines who goes to TC, it's which camp the winner decides to live in that determines who goes. ETA: You could look at it this way: the challenge is for reward or immunity. The winning tribe gets to decide which of those it wants: reward (the luxury camp) or immunity (no tribal council). The losing tribe gets whichever one the winning tribe doesn't take. Blowin' the blues away, courtesy of tribephyl
